No one really knows how it happened, but legend states that years ago, Angels and creatures of Earth once lived together in harmony. Angels watched over mortals as was their sole duty, guarding and guiding their lives, safety, and society. But this paradise could not last. Soon enough, greedy creatures of Earth arose who thought this style of living not right. They wanted separation from the Angels; to guide themselves and live alone. They fought for their independence, resulting in what became known as the Unknown Wars, named so for the fact that its violent nature burned and destroyed most of what was known about the previous era, and all that is known now is what comes from the tales spun by survivors.
Everything was changed, and much was lost. Angels fell from Heaven and never found their way back; smoke and fire burned the skies, permanently blotting out the full light of the sun; and a madness-like sickness known as the Blight rose from the rivers of blood and corrupted the minds of the living. The angels retreated from the hostile planet Earth to their fortress in the sky; a massive, coiling black hovercraft known as Dark Eden, where they could hide safe from the disease. The Holy Spire was constructed, a machine which reaches from the Earth to Dark Eden above in order to clean away the pollution in the sky and again reveal the sun. Laboratories race to find the cure to the dark plague eating away at their minds.
Yet despite the betrayal, despite all that the creatures of Earth had done to them, the Angels of Heaven still sought to do their sacred duty, for they fight only to restore the peace and to destroy the wrongdoers that poisoned the innocence of lost days.
...or is that so true?

Ra'Kai never knew his parents, for they had never cared to keep him. Found newborn and abandoned in Earth's wasteland, this child of fallen angels was taken back to Dark Eden, where he has lived the entirety of his life in the care of his foster father, the archangel Tikara. In the Land of Angels, he was raised in their ways, taught by Lord Tikara himself in the methods of a soldier. Yet not everything in his life is set in stone, for their are many strange things and mysteries hidden in this odd world.
