thing 1: "silver" typically denotes that a horse/CU has the silver (also called chocolate or taffy) gene, so try to avoid calling something silver if it doesn't carry the silver gene, if possible. If a horse is grey like this, just call it a grey or steel grey and denote in its page that it carries the cream gene that makes it a buckskin. ;) Grey is tricky, but think of it as a cover up. A horse can be any colour underneath the grey, but the grey will always take over.
as a side note, for the purposes of CUs, chimeric does not have a chance to pass down. :) But you didn't know that so no worries. ^-^

thank you cx I have a group chat that discuses horse genetics, and none of us can really concur on grey being a cover, and silver changing the coat at all.
and I didn't know that chim can't pass, so I suppose it's a good thing I didn't roll for chim!
