Mikasa was, initially, a carefree and playful filly. Her veil of innocence shielded her from the serious natures and the pecking courage that lay outside of her little bubble of purity. One day, though, tragedy struck. A small band of stallions arrived, immediately attacking her father. Mikasa and her family were all a small, wild band of horses. Mikasa's mother, blinded by fury and given the natural instinct to protect her daughter, lashed out at the stallions. She managed to land a kick at one of the two stallions, which unfortunately didn't do much. The stallion, although it was wrong to hurt mares severely, decided to retaliate. He reared and slammed his front hooves down, which knocked her over. Somehow, his hooves hit her in the neck, and Mikasa's mother's throat was destroyed. The stallions, soon after, began nipping and snorting at each other, angry since they knocked one of their prizes off the table. Afterwards, they pursued Mikasa.

Mikasa was seized by the attackers. She was obedient, but emotionless. Watching her parents die right before her eyes changed her perspective on life forever. It wasn't then until her acquainted foal-hood friend, Eren, came along with his father. Eren helped get Mikasa to safety while his father and the two kidnappers fought. Eventually, Eren joined his father when he made sure Mikasa was safe. Mikasa lay in the dense undergrowth, watching the fight from afar. When she saw Eren's father collapse and Eren get double-teamed, Mikasa sprung into action, hearing Eren's cries for her to fight. Mikasa helped Eren, body-slamming into one of the stallions that was rearing, ready to hit Eren. As Eren's father gathered the time to stand, he and Eren fought the remaining stallion, driving him away. Under the influence of his companion leaving, the remaining attacker fled. Never again were they seen. ----- Afterwards, Mikasa was reborn as a new filly. She now knew the dangers in life. That life wasn't always easy and smooth. It was filled with hardships, and you were never safe.

Ever since the incident, Mikasa was a quiet but hardy mare. In almost all situations, she is level-headed and calm. Though don't get fooled by this. Mikasa's most powerful emotions are held back by a wall, and when that wall breaks, it is extremely difficult for her to contain the emotions that pour. When this happens, Mikasa's personal emotions tend to overpower her judgments, leading to sometimes reckless outcomes. Mikasa isn't the most talkative, and she appears annoyingly protective. However, her only reason for being so close to the ones that mean so much to her is because she doesn't want to go through the same thing again in her life. She doesn't want to lose those she loves dearly again. If she were to lose Eren (since he is currently the only family she has), she would lose it. Overall, she is quiet but has is strong and has a powerful sense of devotion and loyalty.

Safe and Sound
Mikasa stood in her stall, her ears twitching consistently. She was anxious, anxious. Where was Eren? It had been hours since the Scout Regiment left, and Mikasa's closest friend was out there. Angry with herself, Mikasa kicked the wooden stall door with her hind legs. She was being her motherly and over-protective self. But really, could she lose her family again? The mare snorted softly, her piercing blue-grey eyes fixed on the door. She turned her body around, and with a mighty kick, broke the pitiful mechanism. Mikasa then whinnied, rearing up, ignoring the worried neighs and nickers from the other horses behind her. In one swift movement, she was gone and storming to the gate near the exterior.
Five minutes past. Ten. Time was moving slowly, and eventually she made it to the gate. There was a cadet by the gate, his brows furrowing. "What's this loner doing here?" he asked his comrade. Mikasa snorted and pawed the ground. "The Scout regiment must have left her here. It's possible she was supposed to just be there to pull the cargo," the first cadet said. The second shook his head, "She would have the tack needed." Mikasa whinnied. How would she get out? It was highly unlikely they would let her out...
A bright light was emitted from miles away, and a shockwave was felt throughout the interior of the walls. What was that? Another titan? Mikasa brayed, and the first cadet looked astonished. "Byron, we need to get out there!" he exclaimed to the other cadet. Byron shook his head, "Stay in the interior, Connor. It's an absurd thing to do to get out. Besides, I'm sure Scout Regiment has it covered." Connor had a grim look plastered on his face, and he shook his head and ran to the levers that drew the gate. Without hesitation, the gate was lowered, quicker than usual. In an instant, Connor was mounted on Mikasa. "Hyah!" he cried, and Mikasa, obviously pleased that she could leave, galloped off. Byron shouted from behind them, "Dammit, Connor! Get back here!"
Mikasa was running at the speed of light. Eren, please be okay. she thought. Connor's hazel eyes were fixed on the horizon, as were Mikasa's optics.
Twenty minutes of riding passed, and then there was a loud stomping coming from the right of the two. Connor looked over, and grimaced. "A fifteen meter one... Mikasa, keep going! We can try to outrun it," he yelled. Mikasa listened, though to her, she really didn't care. She just wanted to save Eren. But hey, best she didn't have the blood of someone else on her hooves. Obediently, she tried picking up the pace, which worked. The normal titan jogged after them, but it soon stumbled. It remained on the ground for a couple minutes, but got right back up and resumed the chase. Connor frowned, and then told Mikasa to stop, but keep running around. No other titans in sight. he thought to himself, and he then shot the grappling hooks at the titan's shoulder. With slight difficulty, he sliced at the fingers that quickly tried to trap him. Connor whipped around, slicing the nape of its neck. He then returned to Mikasa, who was stationary to allow him to mount again. Without speaking, she charged once more into the distance.
A scream sounded. It was the scream of panic, fear. Was there a titan? Mikasa veered to the left, where it was from. It was at that moment she and Connor saw the Colossal Titan. And there, running around, avoiding the titanic hooves of the beast, was Eren. Mikasa's eyes lit up, and Connor kicked Mikasa's sides. Connor looked around him. The carnage. The bloody and half-destroyed bodies of fallen soldiers. His eyes grew teary, but he had to keep going. Two-thirds of the regiment were wiped out... They needed to get out. He shouted to a recognizable man- Erwin Smith. "Erwin, we need to get them out!" he shouted. Erwin listened, but didn't respond. He was busy maneuvering and slicing the shoulders. It was slow, indeed, but intelligent.
Suddenly, there was stomping. The ground was shaking, and in the distance was an abnormal titan, running on all fours towards the fighting. Erwin saw it, and he then heard another soldier, "Two fifteen-meters to the right!" At that moment, Erwin decided they needed to leave. "Retreat!" he ordered. Everyone whistled, seeking their mounts, and rode off as fast as possible away back to the gates. The abnormal was the only one to keep up. But where was the Colossal Titan?
Mikasa looked to her left to find Eren and his rider riding alongside them. She sighed softly. Connor was stricken with fear. He'd never seen these titan before, except for fifteen-meters. Once. On another expedition. Mikasa whinnied as she saw a shadow cast right above her, and she quickly veered to the right. Connor looked at the abnormal and shouted to the others, "Keep going, I'll handle him!" At that, he leaped off of Mikasa and grappled towards the titan. He made it to its back, and that definitely distracted it. Everyone else was watching out of the corner of their eye, but the tolters, Eren and Mikasa, were reluctant to leave.
Though, the mass moved altogether as one. No titans in view. Though Connor was isolated. There was no telling whether or not he killed off the abnormal, or whether or not he was still alive.
Mikasa felt bad for herself and for him. Though she only knew him for some time, she grew a slight liking to the kid. He had fulfilled his duty. Mikasa, on the other hand, was reunited with Eren. She nickered softly to the stallion, and he nickered back.
She loved Eren. And now, he was safe.

Personality:When Mikasa was younger, she was very cheerful and happy. She was very outgoing. She was never aware of the dangers that lurked around her at every moment. Her small innocent self didnt take notice to it. Until her parents were killed. She then became emotionally withdrawn and serious all the time. But deer down she cared for those who were closest to her. She made sure to protect them at all costs no matter when the situation.

She never shows much emotion. Shes normally level headed and stoic. She never looses her cool around others. Mikasa depends on her realtionship with her brother Eren. Its the most important to her and loosing him would break her. Hes the only family she knows of.
