Delta Velorum Foxes are tall looking foxes that are only located on the remote planet of Delta Velorum.

Standing between 2 - 2 1/2 feet at the should, Delta Velorum Foxes are very tall in appearance compared to Red Foxes on Earth. They tend to be long legged in appearance and are well known for their endurance and agility. Males tend to be more muscular then females while female are more slender and elegant in appearance. A Delta Foxes fur tends to be very soft and short, and come in a wide variety of natural colors. It is not uncommon to see them in roans and dun colors similar to horses and are commonly seen in cat colors and patterns as well (such as calico, tabby, bengal markings ect). However the combination of colors and patterns are limitless, and each Delta Velorum Fox is different from the next. No two are ever the same in looks. Delta Velorum Foxes can come in any eye color and combination - no matter if it's natural or unnatural. A fox with two or more eye colors (known as Heterochromia) is uncommon but not unheard of.

I have been watching the species and I think they are absolutely gorgeous; so I would love to be able to own my first one. also, looking through all of the DVF's that are still available, they are stunning and I would feel honored to be chosen to own one!

we believe we will be the last surviving clan.

"my reasons for leaving my old clan?
oh, those are entirely unnecessary.
there is only one thing that matters.
I left, by choice, and it was willingly.
I knew I wanted better, more powerful.
my birth clan was simple and boring.
they offered me nothing.
I heard rumors of the omega clan.
I knew within an instant I wanted in.
said to live on the outskirts of a deserted town,
so that's where I headed.
I stumbled across the alpha before anyone else.
he was not mean, but very secretive.
I told him who I was, what I wanted.
he looked at me long and hard before nodding.
"come" he told me, before walking off.
I followed without a second thought as to what I was getting into."

"I followed the alpha into the town.
he did not speak to me, staying silent.
we entered a large skyscraper, and he howled.
it wasn't long before other foxes arrived.
it was easy to assume they were his pack,
the way they looked at him with respect,
and at me with weary hesitation.
he spoke in a low deep voice,
facing me from his spot atop a pile of rubble;
'why have you come here?'
'I have come to be who I am. an omega.'
there were murmurs throughout the crowd.
the alpha appeared deep in thought.
'if you wish to join us, prove your worth.
there is a cave, in the forest east of town.
in it there will be several dangers.
at the end, is a precious stone.
bring back a piece of the stone, and you will be an omega.'
bowing my head, I began to back away.
'this shall be done.' and with that, I took off for the east."

"it wasn't hard to find this cave.
it was large, dark, and looming;
at least, the entrance to it was.
I wasn't scared, however, not at all.
I knew this was exactly what I wanted.
so I entered with a confident step.
the first danger was obvious, and big.
there was a pool of blue water;
upon dipping my paw in it, it was ice cold.
risking hypothermia, in and out of the cave.
I didn't care; I wanted this.
I jumped in the water without a second thought.
it was freezing, colder than I had expected.
but I swam anyways, as fast as I could.
I was nearly to the edge, my front paws coming out,
when my left ankle was wrapped and pulled.
I yelped, turning to find.. something.
it looked like a small kraken, from legend/lore.
I didn't want anywhere near it's beak.
I thrashed to escape; looking up, I saw huge icicles.
I had one chance at this.
I let out a yelp, as high pitched as I could go.
I heard the cracking, and managed to kick free,
just as the huge slob of ice plummeted down,
impaling the creature trying to kill me.
coughing and spluttering, I pulled myself onto the ground.
that's when I saw it; it was beautiful.
it was a raw, glistening, moonstone.
I approached it, ignoring my shaking from the cold.
looking around for booby traps, I saw none.
so I bent over, and picked it up in my jaws;
that's when things turned to chaos.
it was like the stone moving, caused all of the icicles to fall.
I bolted for the pond, dodging falling shards,
jumping in the icey water and swimming faster than before.
I bolted from the cave, breathing heavily,
and I didn't stop running until I reached the pack building.
dropping the stone at the alpha's paws, I huffed out,
'it has been done.'"
