Likes:
Winning; wind/air; her friends; clouds/the sky; sparkly objects; her hoard; hatchlings; creating Sky Fire (breathing fire into the air then swiftly diving/twisting/moving through it to create intricate shapes and the like); the Swap (a once-a-month gathering of all dragons to trade stories/objects/trinkets and the like)

Death; rude/obnoxious/senseless creatures; being afraid; having to eat plants; humans (originally, before she befriended one); heat (she loves the cold); deserts;
Skills:
Incredible with wind; elegant flier; artistic
Background story: (Scratch the old one, this one's way better!)
Gather around, younglings. Lithe, stop shivering and light yourself a flame. No, I won't do it, you need the practice. Jered, I'm watching everything you do, so don't even think about nipping Sylf's tail. Settle down, and I'll tell you a story. Now, let's see... You've all probably heard about the griffin... What's that, Klease? You want to know how I got these marks? Hmm... you don't know that one. Most don't. Now, before I tell you, you must promise not to tell anyone, not even during the Swap. This is my secret, and mine alone, and I've chosen to reveal it to only you four. Now get comfortable, this will be a long tale. It all started during the great battle...
---
Gaele waited in her family's cave, bouncing impatiently. Her blue scales glittered in the light from the fire. She paced back and forth, shooting random spurts of flame into the air. When were her parents going to get back? They had been gone for three days straight, on some mission for the Elder Ones. The humans had been increasing activity in the southern quadrant of the Dragonlands, and apparently that wasn't good. The Elder Ones were concerned about a possible invasion. Since the beginning of time, dragons and humans had fought constantly. There was always at least one, sometimes more, big wars between the two each and every century. Humans and dragons just didn't get along. Gaele herself HATED humans as much as the next dragon, perhaps more. Gaele finally stopped pacing and turned toward the entrance to the cave, excited. She could hear wingbeats in the distance, heavy enough to suggest her parents were returning. She rushed eagerly to the entrance, eyes sharp for her parents. Instead flew in a messenger dragon. He nearly collapsed on the floor of the cave, he was so out of breath. "Gaele... You're... Gaele, aren't... you?" He asked, gasping. She nodded silently. "I'm to... escort you to the Elder... Ones." He replied. Confused, she just followed him as he returned to the cave entrance, dove, and after a few flaps, he rose high into the air, Gaele following hurriedly after him.
---
Gaele stood before the Elder Ones, a group of elder dragons that were the leaders of Dragonkind. She was nervous, as she had never been called before them before. The eldest dragon there, a huge male who had long since lost the bright coloration of his scales, addressed her. "Young Gaele. I'm sure you are wondering why it is we have called you here today. I'm afraid the reason is not a very pleasant one. You see, there was a, ah, skirmish during the mission, and your parents were killed. We are all very sorry, and we grieve with you. They were fine dragons." Gaele stared at him in shock. Her parents couldn't be dead, they just couldn't! How could a few miserable humans, so small compared to dragons? Gaele tried to say this, but the words just couldn't come. A female dragon gently lead her out of the room and into a sub-cave that over-looked the forest. The female flew out of the cave and back to the main part of the Elder Ones' cliff. Gaele didn't have the energy to do anything but sleep, and that was what she did.
---
Gaele opened her eyes and blinked. Sunlight was streaming into the cave, and when she looked out, she could see the sun slowly starting to descend behind the mountains. She stood and shook herself tiredly, when it all came rushing back to her. Her parents were dead, killed by humans. Now, instead of just grief, she felt something else. A thirst. A thrist for revenge. Yes, that was what she would do, she would get revenge on the ones that tore her whole world apart. Peering out of the cave entrance to make sure no one would see her, Gaele plunged downward, opening her wings to catch the wind. She knew exactly were she was going. Her father had taken her around the forest many times, saying that knowing her way around may someday come in handy. Unfortunately, never would of thought she would have to use that knowledge for what she was doing. Gaele flew swiftly towards the place where she was certain that the fight had occurred.
---
When she finally got there, she landed down in the center of a clearing and looked around. This HAD to be the place. The ground and trees were charred in some places, and dry blood splattered the ground. Both human and dragon weapons littered the ground, and there were even a few human bodies scattered around, depressingly. Don't they bury their dead? Or do they just leave them where they lay? she thought. As Gaele explored the battleground, she noticed that in some places the blood was still wet, and it seemed as if the bodies were rather fresh, as well. The battle must've just happened! Then it hit her. There could still be humans here! Part of her longed to stay and hunt them down for revenge, the other half was screaming at her to run. As she hesitated, she didn't see the man creeping up behind her. Suddenly, she felt a blinding pain as she was hit over the head. The last thing she saw was a human standing over her, smiling darkly, then everything went black.

(I'm not quite done with the story, however odds are I won't have time to finish it, seeing as I'm going on a trip tomorrow. It's finished enough, though, and I promise that if I get her I will embellish more upon the story.)

Re: Unamed Dragon - Up for Adoption!

Postby |M|esh » Thu Sep 16, 2010 6:41 am

Name: harike-n (hurricane in Japanese)but she prefers haku
Gender: Female
Power Mastered: Wind
Personality: She is a relaxed female who loves to be in the clouds alone. When she does get agitated she meditates, usually on a very high mountain where it is windy, or under blossom trees but always alone.

Bio/Story:
She was a natural at her wind skill since birth, even when she was a young dragon she could bring fourth a storm, though not control it. She was taught by her mother and her father who were proud of her. But she quickly grow stronger than them, she then was sent off to a academy. The journey was long and tiring, and her acceptance was annoying. A young dragon Haku’s age, who talked contently about the weather, the plants, the academy and the thing that annoyed her most how pretty Haku is. Though he was quite hansom himself, he was a green dragon he had a couple of vine wrist bands and he did have a marking of a wing in white.
“Did you know that this plant can heal wounds”
“no”
“are you even listening”
“no… Wait I mean yes”
“hmmm” (sigh) mumbles “but she is so pretty”
“what was that”
“nothing”
“so what's your name”
“Haku, you”
“kouba”
“but call me kiba”

Academy's were being attacked and destroyed, and Haku’s academy was next. First flame bombs were thrown in over the high walls, they were surrounded with no easy escape but there was a small chance that they could. But the dragons were closing in burning and killing all in there path, they left a trail of death, they had no mercy. With all hope of survival being crushed, many lay down to die . The rest stolen, killed in battle but very few escaped, and it was only because of the elders. The leader whom was the best fighter came out in the sacred golden armour it was decorated in all sorts of gems and had been enchanted many times. The wearer of the armour was Karzu he came out to battle and lost his life doing so but his goal had been achieved some of the students escaped, Haku was one of them. They fled with no looking back.

I need to add another paragraph here

She was alone in the wilderness, with hardly any cover since all the trees were burnt. She remembered part of the way back to her homeland, when she got to where she remembered it was no longer what she remembered. The blossom trees and what had fallen off was burnt, but it didn’t look like a fire had done it, it was the dark empire she spat out in disgust. That was her first mistake, the empire heard her and surrounded her. She spread out her wings ready for flight and took off. The empire were close behind her gaining all the time. She had to do something clever or she would be taken too. Her flight and wind skills were her best, a large bird flew over head screaming “hark hark” at the same moment haku made a hurricane blow into the chasers knocking two of them out. Haku had to concentrate they would be ready for her now.

This story is not finished and i will finish as much as i can but if i dont finish it and im picked i will. thank you

Name: Umanji (Oo-mahn-gee)
Gender: Female
Power Mastered: Wind
Personality: Swift and calm
History:
Umanji's POV
I'll always remember my first flight. I was only 6 months old at the time, and even then I was a superb flyer. Good enough that I had the foolishness to think I could take on a full-blown storm. It all started when I left the cave during one of my routine practice sessions. The morning air was cool against my skin as I stretched my wings, ready to begin training. I took the usual route through the dense forest, swiftly weaving between the trees. I then caught a warm breeze and veered upward, almost flying into a flock of migrating ducks. I looked around and noticed the clouds ahead were starting to thicken and become darker. I assumed that a big storm would break soon, and that I should head back to the shelter of the caves, but I felt a sudden impulse to keep flying. So I did, and soon my prediction was proven to be correct. At last the storm broke, unleashing its power on the inhabitants below. Once I felt the patter of raindrops across my face, I knew I couldn't stop unless I wanted to be blown away. It was now or never. The force of the fierce winds and streaking rain only made me fly harder.
I flew and flew, constantly battling against nature itself as it made me toss and turn in its fitful rage. I believe that it was only pure adrenaline that kept me going. Then a clap of thunder brought me crashing back to reality. I was flying blindly through a large storm with no one nearby. The chances of me finding my way back home were very slim not to mention that I hadn't even known how long I had been flying. By now, my wings were starting to tire, and I was flying dangerously low to the trees. A flash of lightning struck nearby, and I knew I needed to get away fast. I rode the wind and somehow managed to land safely in the middle of a wide clearing. I quickly scrabbled for the nearest form of shelter, which happened to be an old birthing den by the smell of it. I'm not sure how long I waited, but it seemed like an eternity before the storm had finally passed. As I felt myself nodding off to sleep, I thought about how jealous my brothers and sisters would be when I got back...
