Information

These horses have been rescued from unsuitable places where they have been un treated, beaten, dumped off somewhere or even left to die. So if you want to adopt, please take great care as they have been through some tough times which may have scared them, so they can be spooked easily.

Sugar's Story

Sugar was found abandoned in an old summer house ruin with no food or water to eat, barely any shelter from the terrible weather conditions. When Sugar arrived at the rescue centre, she had a terrible problem called colic. Colic is when the horse has either eaten way to much or hardly eaten enough food to keep her alive. She was extremely thin, and her mane and tail had become dreadlocks. Because colic could kill, we had to give her special medication tablets and fatten her up with the healthiest food possible. As months passed, she became more or less the average weight and size for a pony. When we first rode her, we could tell that she had already been taught to be ridden. She was a joy to ride, a little wonky in the canter but her jumping was magnificent. I hope someday somebody will take good care of her.
