He deserves too much hate... Too much' = an unreasonably large amount. So the sentence structure you used pretty much says 'He deserves an unreasonably large amount of hate'. Most people can figure out what you meant from context, but if you'd prefer grammatical correctness anyway, it'd be more fitting to say something along the lines of 'he receives more hate than he deserves'. Kinda hard to explain, but yeah, that's how grammar works.
