I'm liking it so far, but let me give you advice I got from a good author, Nikki Loftin--
You should make a perfectly normal character, but give them one flaw to set them aside. In this case, maybe she could have a sad motivation that keeps her beating around the bush of her goals.
Then again, what do I know? I can't wait to see how this turns out :D
