The origin of this particular species is unknown. It is guess that it was the iqena who sparked the mythos of unicorns, pegasus, kirin, and hundreds more that have become legend. Thousands of years of speculation and wonder have led to the constant search of this elusive species.

Iqena are commonly friendly towards any creature of any world. Their peaceful souls only adding to the mystery of their vast variations. Even the youngest of iqena are clueless to their biological origin. Some say that they are born from the mind, much like the goddess Athena.

Most call it Casper, much to it's demise .

Casper lives in a foggy forest in Ireland . This forest is filled with evergreen trees that are hundreds of years old . They reach unearthly heights and look down upon anyone entering the forest . On the ground the soil is rich with nutrients and is almost pitch black . Spongy undergrowth from various low lying plants and pine needles cover the forest floor . The forest he resides in is almost invisible to the human eye, and may only be heard of in legends that were lost to Irish folklore long ago . The forest glows slightly from the many ghostly glowing mushrooms and fungi that are speckled around the forest . The forest only appears in the morning mist, disappearing when the sun chases it away . It may also be seen on a heavily foggy day, taking the chance to steal away any visitors that wander through . People who enter this iqena's domain are known to go completely missing . Once the mist clears and the forest dissipates, any living soul in the forest vanishes . Many call his home " The Forest of Lost Souls" and Casper's ghastly screams are often thought to be the cries of lost loved ones in the morning glow .
