just a sketch! Can someone help me though? i want to know how to shade like a pro! Like what they do is when they make editable lines and they have shading, i see its on a differant layer. Than when i color it on the color layer it makes that color darker or shaded. I have no idea how to do that though... Should the layer of shade be on top of color or below color...? or do i use the burn tool?

It's best to have the shade on a separate layer, and above the colour. That way, if you make any mistakes, you can easily erase it. c:

Those who do editable's do not use the burn tool for their shading, they use the layer technique. They also tend to set the layer on multiply or on a lower occupancy so the shade gets a tint of what the colour underneath looks like :)

If I'm trying to do a really good drawing, I'll probably duplicate the color layer, lock alpha and turn the whole thing black, UNLOCK ALPHA (that's crucial), turn the lineart white so I can see what I'm doing and soft erase where shading wouldn't be. Then I use the water-drop looking tool to clean the whole thing up.
Hope this helps :3
