- Most notable feature are its membrane pouches
- Similar to an inner pocket; can hold a number of items
- Used as a safety precaution at times
- Almost always in this configuration, but mutations can cause them to be located in other areas (cheek and chest always the same though)
- Used as a form of expression and identification
- Hard clear outer side, much like an exoskeleton, and can be shed if damaged to always appear as new. May be traces of scaring after a serious injury
- Accessed through alternate system alongside the digestive system; accessed through the mouth, into a different controlled passageway of muscles to figure out what goes to which pouch.
- Whole membrane is transparent, and looking through it one can see internal organs/bones
- Has two horns on its head
- Made out of same enamel the pouches are for strength
- Can vary in size and shape
- Very sensitive and able to identify temperature
- No external ears
- Four nostrils (two on each side)
- zig-zag shaped mouth
- 28 teeth, and slight split tongue
- Two toxic barbs below the jaw on each side on the neck, as a form of defense against lethal bites to the neck. Barb guards are sold to owners as a safety precaution; although a slight nick isn't lethal to humans, contacting poison control is suggested
- Big paws with sensitive paw pads
- Average adult height is 3 ft at the shoulder
- Scent glands on cheek, shoulder, and rear as a form of identification to others of its kind; they all emit a unique scent
- Oddly shaped pupils that let them take in more of their surroundings, with five cones able to sense reds, blues, yellows, and ultraviolets, and they have the ability to hone in on the fifth infrared cone receptor
- Fuel gland in cheek that connects to upper bicuspids, and is able to breathe fire this way
- Has no tail [no tail bones], but occasionally more fluff
- Longer fur towards back of species, with shorter fur on the front
- Mane that runs along neck - mid-back
- Usually large eyebrows and long lashes to protect from dust
- Very social, usually living naturally in pods
- They can live in almost any climate, and are often times companion animals
- Very complex intelligence
- Speech is chirps and squeaks, but mimicking human speech is common, and learning it doesn't take long after mimicry has begun
- Omnivores, but their diet prefers meats
[not 100% accurate scaling, we'll say this is a baby ^]
