Monster: Sirens, the beautiful yet dangerous creatures with enchanting music and voices who lured sailors into shipwrecking on the rocky coast of their island.
Reasoning: While Mortimer is male and therefore not particularly suitable for the role of siren as most sirens are female, he finds the idea of luring members of the opposite (or the same, doesn't matter) gender into traps just by his voice and the sound of music absolutely fascinating. Being a stallion with a soft spot for melodious sounds, he experiences no problems with imagining himself using music as a weapon against his enemies.

Reasoning: The reason he likes the Mothman, is because when people have a spotting of him, its a bad omen. He has heard that there was a spotting long ago and where the mothman appeared, the bridge collapsed! He was curious as to what kind of creature could predict something like that. He wants to be able to see this mothman to know what would happen to him, though inwardly, he is a coward and doesn't want to see him at all for the fact that a little moth can scare him, so something as big a a man-sized moth would terrify him even more.

Reasoning: Claw loves the thought of being Cerberus. As a young foal he used to pretend his quipping were scars and that he guarded the underworld himself. The Cerberus is loyal and fierce, which are values he has always wanted to, and strive to have.

As a foal, Claw was always getting picked on. Another reason he liked to think he was Cerberus. Cerberus is big and fierce, something he would like to be. Now that Claw is bigger, he still likes to pretend to be Cerberus, and loves to gallop around tossing his head, trying to be big and scary.

Reasoning: Tevan loves to play pranks on others, and more specifically, scare pranks. He likes to hide in the shadows and jump out when you least expect it. Hence why, when he heard about Monsters Inc., he became obsessed <3 He pretends to be James, living in a world where work is scaring kids and after work, it's chilling with more monsters. Tevan has always been bright and intelligent, but he feels that he has two sides. One side where he shows most people, is the smart and funny guy who cares. However, he felt that he isn't what his family and friends have expected and their expectations and pressure are too high, so he leads a secret life as Sullivan, where he can express his inner darkness and be truly himself. This is also the time when he turns into James Sullivan.

Reasoning: What would be more neat to be than something that has less of a solid form than clouds? Ozone is absolutely positive that these supposed beasts exist, and can imagine himself flying effortlessly through the air without any typical means such as wings. He finds the idea of being an atmospheric beast as thrilling as walking above a cliff face, and the ability to soar about the earth infinitely is something he longs to do. Not to mention that Ozone has moments where he wish he could change shape and disappear, just like the elusive atmospheric beast.

Reasoning: Poltergeist fancies himself as a bit of a charmer, and does enjoy showing off his looks. He prances around with his head held high and believes he could lure people in with his beauty. He's vain to say the least, and a little overconfident, but he loves the Scandinavian myth of the bäckahästen. He shares another common characteristic with the bäckahästen; a cheeky behaviour and a love for trickery. He likes to manipulate others for his own benefit, rather like the bäckahästen in folktales. Poltergeist also adores foggy weather, especially at night. Often, he wanders along the banks of a river to watch fireflies or just enjoy the creepy atmosphere. It was in fact one of his night walks that inspired his interest in the bäckahästen.

Reasoning: Altair has always loved watching eagle's flying around and has often dreamed of what it would be like. He loves the idea of being a hippogriff because it's a mix of a horse and an eagle, he's sees it as the best of both worlds. He'd still have his equine features but he'd also be part eagle which has been an idea that has always fascinated him. Altair loves to imagine spreading the massive wings he'd have as a hippogriff and go soaring through the sky without a care in the world.

Reasoning: Belmont often pictures himself as a stone Gargoyle. When he was a young colt, he was led through a french market place, before being bought and taken to his new home. His owners led him past an old building with wicked creatures leering at him. The thought remained with him, and the little french equid found a new hobby. He began to spend hours beside the small stream running through his paddock, desperately trying to perfect his ability to allow water to leak slowly out of his mouth. He would stand frozen for hours, his teeth bared awkwardly as a mixture of water and saliva slowly dripped out of the corners of his mouth. He has yet to completely perfect the art, so he can proudly stand in front of his master's home; guarding it from evil spirits.
Being a Gargoyle appeals to Monty in many ways. He's always been a messy drinker, and hopes that being good at allowing water to go out, will make him better at cleanly letting it whoosh down his throat. The thought of being frozen in one place, high above the heads of everyone to silently observe and guard, is an absolute dream. Life is stressful, standing back to watch is so much better.
One day, Belmont hopes, he will be the perfect Gargoyle.

Reasoning: Because who doesn't want to become a beast with long claws, lots o' fur, and howls at the moon? The ability to walk on two legs strikes him as particularly fascinating, and without having to become a hairless, pink.. Thing! He's often found himself fascinated by wolves, though he often was too scared to watch them for more than a minute.

Reasoning: Being a domestic equid, Knox is quite accustomed to humans, their daily occurances, as well as their celebrations. During his first Halloween he heard the Purple People Eater song played and immediatly started envisioning the scene that was brought up in his mind. To say in the least, it was quite interesting. Now whenever his stubborn self is challenged by a human attempting to get him in his stall, back over the pasture fence, etc, he imagines turning into one of these legendary purple people eating monsters and taking care of the 'situation'. For a younger equid, he has an imagination just as wild and fierce as his heart.
