Chrysaora Basilisks #67 | Regular Adopt

Postby crumpled wings » Tue Feb 03, 2015 8:46 am

General Info

Chrysaora Basilisk are the prevalent equine creatures that inhabit the world Lucent. They roam by the hundreds, using their unique hooves to score the uneven rock and track down their most vital source of nourishment; evil. The relationship between Chrysaora and humans is a complex one. Chrysaora vocalize like horses, but are also thought to have a syrinx much like birds do and have been recorded displaying a variety of sharp, avian sounds. Their eyes layer over with a dark, murky black until their normal eye color pierces through in a great ball of electric light, radiating toward their victim's open eyes and paralyzing them. The Glare is able to stop both human and creature, and after a few days, unique to other forms of basilisk, the paralyzed being transforms into a sea nettle.

Owner: Sheperd
Name: Ryswell || RIS-well
Gender: Mare
Personality: Philosophical, calm, intelligent, thoughtful, polite, friendly, observant, caring, short-tempered.
Extra: Humans
Mother always told me stories about the humans. Their many different natures and behaviors. As a foal, I always found them peculiar beings. Being bipedal and all. Some had long manes. Others had short manes. Like us, they had many different colored manes. One difference between us Basilisks and humans, though, is that their manes don't grow from their neck and upper back. One oddity I took note of. I myself have never seen a human. When I was younger, Mother told me the story of a freckled human she once encountered. She told me that the human was covered in speckles from head to toe. Her optics were light blue and she had a long brown mane. Mother told me the human approached her cautiously. However, Mother was, at the time, carrying me and was highly aggressive and wouldn't tolerate pests like humans. Mother told me that she had let out a series of aggressive warnings towards the human until it finally bolted off. After Mother advanced towards her, that is. I wonder if I'll ever come cross paths with a human?

Extra:
I looked around, searching for my prey. I lift my head up high, studying the scene. I huff. Humans. They are in my way like normal. A few other Chrysaora Basilisks stand beside me, also waiting. I look at them, eyes flashing. We need food. We have been moving to find another source of food. Evil. It is most common around humans for some reason. I never had understood humans. I easily head down the mountain we are up. I took a small group. My herd is rather large, but we were tracking through the mountains. I hop down the last five feet, landing on solid ground. I snort and lift my head up. I knicker softly and trot forward. I can sense the evil. Here, at this village. It could feed my herd. There are enough people. I flick an ear as the others at my side neigh happily. I flare my nose, inhaling the scents on the wind. I shake my head, proud of myself for finding a massive group of evil hidden here. I stop just a few houndred yards away. I turn to see more of my kind appearing from the mountains. I wait.
