A Stone In My Hand

This is for A Stone In My Hand.
In the story, a young Afghan girl called Malaak has a pet bird, but after a shooting it flies away and doesn't come back.
Then her brother starts being a minor stone fighter and gets shot.
He survives, but in the end of the book he is still in a coma.
