Relationship with Esme;
When Alyosha was very little, back when their parents were alive, he didn't care for Esme at all. He often times ignored her out of jealously for getting all their parents attention, but when their parents died, he pushed aside his jealously because he realized it was ill-founded and irrational and took her under his wing. He tried to protect her to the best of his abilities until they could find a stable place for them to stay. He's taken great joy in watching her grow up, and although they don't talk every day like they used to, she's still his family and he'll do anything to keep her happy.

Zeto has a rocky relationship with Esme, especially as he tries to play the uncaring brother to her. He claims he only cares because the fact that they share a blood line. After their fathers departure, he primarily blamed her for it. For a long while past that, he gave her the cold shoulder, only standing up for her to protect their families name and keep their pride intact. As they grow older and she courts males, he grows protective, especially if its one he doesnt deem fit.
His biggest fault with their relationship is that he often will become increasingly friendly and hang around her when he's looking for her to do something or when he doesnt approve of something she does, subtly critiquing her choices..

It was a simple training exercise, the cadets would be acting as the pack, functioning with only one adult to give the head directions, the rest of the adults were to act as the Felidae. The cadets had been bouncing with excitement for days once the announcement to be made. Today was the last day before the faux war began, meaning the cadets had hid from the adults with their leader and were plotting a plan of action, and the rest of you adults were stationed in the main living areas plotting.
Esme’s voice cut through the rests’. She, like you, sounded exhausted with the poor tactics the hunters kept trying to inplace. “If you stay all together, in one large patrol, you will get surrounded and none of us will have enough room to fight.” The growl was enough to silence the lead hunter. “So what do you suggest?” She was quiet for a moment, silence filling the cave area.
“Split into three. One up the middle, the other two to the sides. Set each group equal to the others in size and strength. We wont get surround and we wont get over powered on one side.”
You lifted your head from where it had sat on your paws. What? Did she really want to split the adults so much? If set up in three groups, all of equal size, the adults would have very small groups. Even if theyre more skilled of fighters, the amount of cadets may be able to overpower the adults with sheer numbers.
You make eye contact with her, her ears immediantely pin down as you get to your feet. Around the two of you, the hunters roll their eyes. “Sister dearest, You seem to forget the numbers involved.” She rolls her eyes, giving you a go ahead. You stalk over to her, your long tail swaying behind you. “If we split into three groups, all of equal size, that will leave each group to have around.. 7?” You shake your head with a small laugh.
“So what do you suggest, Zeto?”
You give her a toothy grin. “I suggest, if we really must stay with the three groups, having the middle group be made of a small two or three group, position them so it appears like they’ve got comrades hidden. The other two groups will hide in the rock outlyings. As the cadets charge for the decoys, the two larger, stronger, groups surround and disarm them. “ A slow nod came from the other adults, Esme’s only reply was a glare.
