What is Halo 3? From what I've heard its a game, and it sounds cool! Soooo, what is it exactly?

It's a game for Xbox. It's the third game in the seires so far(there are four in total, and a fifth one is coming out later this fall).
The game's story is about a human vs. alien war that happens in the 26th century. The "Halo" part in the name comes from the fact that the aliens want to fire these rings called Halos, which would wipe out every living thing in the galaxy and humans are obviously not keen on that.
The most famous character, the Master Chief, is a super-soldier called a Spartan, and he's the last of his kind.
That's pretty much the jist of the game. I don't know what happens in the other games becuase I've never played them(not yet, at least XD).

I agree with you on the Cortana thing. The worst time (I found) that she appears is when you're trying to run to the elevator shaft to escape a bomb.
And, yes. Chief is totally awesome ^^.

Lol. First time it happened to me on that level, all I could think was "Can't you see I'm busy??!! I'm trying to escape a bomb while shooting aliens! Quit slowing me down D=<!"
