[color=#FF4000]Inquisitive
Merk has always been a curious little bean since the moment she left the pouch and opened her eyes. She has always been a bean that liked to find out how things worked or what made them tick. Thinking outside the box she will first ponder on some theories that she tries to prove or disprove before taking the object apart to see its inner workings.

Obsessive
When it comes to Merak's interests, she tends to go way over the top and doesn't divert from them very much except for family. She is truly obsessed with gears, cogs, clocks, steampunk, and Victorian items. In most of her free time, you will find her half way in some sort of clock taking it apart and stashing away a few of its cogs, gears, and important parts here and there.

Careless
As mentioned above, Merak is obsessed with clocks. But one bad thing she does is she doesn't ask others if she can take apart their mechanics and keep the pieces. After tearing into an new clock, she will take what she has learned or whatever items she likes from it and leave it as it is. Never putting it back together, this makes a small dent in the Kibble family's wallet because they are always having to apologize and clean up after Merak. She also never admits she does anything wrong in doing this and refuses to learn that it is wrong.
Along with this, she is reckless and holds no real value to her life and thinks she doesn't play a important role in the bean's lives around her. She often climbs high areas to explore and find new things without worry or fear of her getting hurt or dying.

Loyal
Merak may have her quirks and issues here and there but there is one thing she is known for, other than her obsessions, it is her loyalty to her sisters and friends. With her strange interests in cogs and gears and not socializing with other beans, she can really only rely on her friends to support and protect her. It is because of this that she is one hundred percent loyal to her friends through thick and thin, even if they are doing something bad, she stands at their side proud and strong. She is a bean you can rely on and trust with a secret as well. As she has no one to gossip with anyway.

Outgoing
Merak is a outgoing and friendly bean but she hates the outdoors. She likes to go out and meet new beans only for the opportunity to share her passion and love for clocks, etc. The more beans that know you the more your name will spread when your famous, is her belief, even though she doesn't love herself...

Boisterous
Merak can be quiet when she is working on a project with her cogs and gears but when she is left without her hobbies or gadgets, she becomes a rather loud and almost annoying bean to others. She tends to speak loudly and with a very open mind, she is overly honest too, adding to how much trouble she will get into on a daily basis.

Accessories

Her one absolute choice in accessory that she must wear everyday, is a half cog necklace she made that only matches up with one she made for her best friend, Hades. This cog holds a very special meaning to Merak as it was the very first cog that she had pulled out of the Great Grandfather Clock and accidentally broke in half by biting on it when she fell out from the clock. When her necklace meets up against Hades' it reads, "Together Forever" on it, she worked very hard to engrave that into the cog for them. This is never ever takes off and would be very upset if she lost it.

Other items she will wear are miscellaneous victorian or steampunk or mix of both items. Such as hats, goggles, belts, etc.

What's in her pouch?

Merak's choice in items to keep on her at all times are very simple. She simply likes to keep a travel sized screwdriver with her at all times. Without this baby, she wouldn't be able to disassemble every clock she was to ever come across. Oh what would she do without her handy dandy screwdriver?

Roleplay with Hades wrote:
Merak: Merak sighs to herself, her ears hanging low as she walked the sidewalks of the town shops, 'why did we have to move back?' She grumps to herself as she thought this. 'I miss our old house... Why move back to the woods near hear?' She thinks again, when suddenly a glimmer of light shines on her eye, catching her attention. She perks her ears up and looks up to see... Her eyes widen in utter amounts of joy as she saw a old style clock store right in front of her, "OH MY GOSH!!!" She screams loudly and runs to it, plastering herself almost against the glass as she looked at all the clocks.

Hades: Hades wandered the streets, headed for nowhere. He had left the house needing a walk to think; and, indeed, he was lost in thought. His eyes flicked sideways, distant, though loosely focused on the shops he was passing. The Boutique store passed, and then the clock store, but-- Something caught his eye, and he stopped, turning abruptly. Surprise flashed across his face, clear in his voice as well, as he spoke to the bean he hadn't seen in years. His best friend for years. "...Merak?"

Merak: Merak's tail wags almost like a dog's in excitement. Her admiration is suddenly cut as she heard a old but familiar voice, she moves her hands from the window and turns to see Hades, her old dear friend, right before her. Her eyes widen a bit as she gasped, "Hades? Is that really you?" She inquires, looking at him. She suddenly seems to get worried and brushes her hair more down over half of her face, covering it up.

Hades: Hades took a step forward, his hands at his side clenching into fists as he restrained himself from hugging her. "Yes, it's me." A smile cracked from the corner of his mouth. Self consciously he glanced into the glass of the clock shop, then back at Merak. "I see you've maintained your interest in clocks." The same went for Hades: On his neck was a demon repelling necklace, a copper gear dangling from his tail, and there were scars set in various places. His ear was torn, and peeking out from the collar of his shirt were three scratches that ran halfway to his navel.

Merak: Merak blinked and looked at the clock shop and then looks at Hades with a faint blush of embarrassment, "yeah... I still take other beans clocks too... Grandma still hasn't realized that I took her Coo-coo clock..." She scratches her neck nervously but doesn't question how Hades looked, wanting him to not question the brushing of her hair.

Hades: Hades nodded. It didn't seem like he noticed her brushing her hair aside. If he did, he didn't show any signs of it. "I haven't given up my interest in the supernatural either." His hand automatically went up, touching his scars on his chest. He dropped it, though, stepping aside and opening the door to the clock shop for Merak. "No stealing this time. I can pay." He said politely, if not jokingly, as he stepped aside to make way for her to go inside.

Merak: Merak blinked but then smirked as Hades offered to buy her a clock, "and who said I will let you buy me a clock? It's much more fun to take it..." She says jokingly as she entered the store, brushing the tip of her tail fluff on his nose, teasing him like how she would when they were little.

Hades: Hades sneezed into his elbow as a result of Merak hitting him with her tail fluff. In response, he whacked her calf as she passed him and trekked in after her. "They opened this the year after you left." He said, looking around, his shoulders down. He seemed to be growing less tense by the minute. "I kept visiting and hoping you'd come back because of your love for clocks. Admittedly, I snatched a few knick knacks too." His eyes passed over all the clocks, searching for a coo-coo clock.

Merak: Merak kicks her leg a bit at the floor, "of course a shop meant for me would show up after I left... It's all because Ms. Johanna found out that I stole cogs from her grandfather clock..." She sighs. But then her ears perked, a nervous blush coming over her as he said he came to the shop in hopes of seeing her, she looked away from Hades and stopped in front of a old style alarm clock, brushing her fingers over it. "I moved Hades... Surely you knew?" She questioned him, starting to remember how she never really said goodbye.

Hades: "I prefer to believe that it was because you'd have to come back some day to visit it. Destiny, per chance?" Hades suggested, quirking an eyebrow and looking at her sideways to see her reaction. Until then, he had kept his hands at his side, but one of his hands raised and he picked up a small table clock, turning it over as he investigated it. He tensed at her mention of her leaving, though his cool calm was returned as quickly as it had left. "Yes, my parents told me, but they were caught up with Leiko at the time." He faced her again, holding out the fancy clock to her as if to silently ask if it were any good.

Merak: Merak sighed and looked at Hades and then at the clock, gently pushing the clock away, "How can you still be so clam? After I hurt you? After I left without even so much of a goodbye?... You should hate me for what I did..." A small tear fell from her visible eye as she turned away quickly, wiping it away and sniffing.

Hades: Hades fumbled to the back of his pocket, pulling out the blue polkadotted bandana that he used to wear. It now served as a handkerchief. He exchanged that for the clock, setting it down back where he had found it, but his gaze hadn't left Merak. It took him a few seconds to reply, mainly because he needed to make sure his voice didn't quaver. He wished he could have had something to lean on. "We were children. You never would have done anything to hurt me, and I was aware of that. I could not have hated you. I still cannot hate you." His mouth opened to say something else, but he didn't watching her instead.

Merak: Merak keeps her gaze away from Hades, "but you should hate me..." She managed to whimper out in between her tiny sniffs.

Hades: Hades' expression changed, a slight worried frown appearing on his face. He quickly slipped the clock he'd liked into his pouch, taking out some money. "May I show you something?" He asked as he did so, his other hand reaching out for her's, though he didn't take it, merely offered to.

Merak: Merak looked at him slightly with her one visible eye which was swelled with tears, "I guess?..." she answers, taking his hand.

Hades: Hades gave her hand a reassuring squeeze, leading her outside and dropping the money nonchalantly on the counter as they went by. "I would assume that you remember the junkyard that we used to visit?" He asked, tilting his head to the side to look at her as they walked down the sidewalk.

Merak: Merak nodded, a faint smile coming over her face as she thinks back on the old place, "yeah... That was where I truly was free and happy... We were able to be ourselves and have no worries of rules or judgement..."

Hades: A ghost of a smile appeared on Hades' lips, and he nodded, facing forward. "Good. I still remember the pathway and thought that bringing you there would be pleasing, though I suppose we cannot tell until we arrive." He paused, then continued, thinking he should lead the conversation because she wasn't quite in the state of doing so, "In the meantime, I meant to ask if you were moving here permanently, or just visiting for family and the like?"

Merak: Merak glances at Hades but looks ahead again, "oh we are back... Mother got upset with me because I climbed a tree over a mountainside and almost fell to my death.... She apparently thinks I will be safer here where there is no high places for me to climb and get hurt..." A bit of anger shows in her voice when she spoke of her mother.

Hades: Hades stiffened a bit at the mention of Merak almost dying, and how she said it so casually. He hadn't seen any bruises, cuts, or casts, though he wasn't necessarily looking for them. His grip on her hand tightened ever so slightly, though it was still loose enough that she could pull away if she wanted to. "At the very least, there was some benefit from the move. Though I cannot put into words how glad I am to hear that you are alright from the climb, I must say that I'm happier to know you're back." He looked at her after saying this, studying and searching for signs that she was happy to see him, too.

Merak: Merak stopped suddenly and glances at Hades' hand and then at his face, "why did your hand tense?" She asks curiously, almost as if she didn't hear what he said.

Hades: Hades stopped with her, looking at the ground for a moment as if admitting what he was aobut to say took a lot of effort. And it did. It seemed to take nearly everything he had to spit it out. "Because," he said, his voice quieter than it had been. "Picturing you gone forever hurts."

Merak: Merak's eyes widen as she hears him say this and her hand slips out of his as it began to tremble, "why? I'm nothing important Hades! I knew you as kids, yes! But I left you... I don't play a important role for you? Why would you care?..." She takes a few steps back, almost fearing Hades would touch her again.

Hades: Shock flashed across Hades' face momentarily, his eyes widening. His hand dropped to his side, and like that, his expression was gone. He swallowed, his adam's apple bobbing as he prepared himself to talk and showing that he wasn't as calm as his expression showed. "You are anything but unimportant, Merak. You had to leave, yes. But if you believe that I would forget about you that easily, you are wrong." He had meant to say more, but he shut his mouth, watching her with his fists clenched to keep himself calm.

Merak: Merak's body trembled, "I...." Tears streamed from her eyes as her hair hid her eyes as she looked down. "I have to go!" She quickly says and turns to try and run away.
