Cliff-Glompers/Canyon-Glompers- A strange dragon-like species. These creatures have hard thick bone structures pertruding though the shoulders and backs forming a sort of wing-like structure. These thick bone wings act like Gliders as this species cannot fly with them at all due t them unable to bend to the flexibility as normal dragon wings, they are flexible but only to a certian point til they chp or even break off. These gliders are dubbed 'BoneGlides' and once a BoneGlide breaks, not only is it extremely painful, but it takes months to grow back and these creatures do not live long when grounded. They are called Cliff-Clompers, or soemtimes named Canyon-Glompers, because these guys fly cliff to cliff and litterally glomp the cliff to stick to it. They have special designed claws on their front legs that point down so when they glomp cliff walls their claws peirce the rocks and allow them to stick to the walls with no problem. They are a very skittish creature, and when they land on cayon floors bounce around like a bunny then take off again. Glompers glide along rivers and open up surprisingly large gaping mouths and catch fish and swallow them whole before returning to their Cliff Nests. They are known to hunt Fish, Rabbit, Birds, and Snakes. Their fluffy tails are valuable as it can be woven into a silk-like product, poachers tend to tranqulize the poor things and harvest the fur on their tails, the problem with this is the fure is needed for breeding and steering in flight. The nubs on their tails are sensors, they sense vibration and can alert others when danger is near. They arent the fastest bast around and tend to use their horns as a last resort defense.
Diet: Carnivore, mainly Fish.
Breeding: Breeding season starts at the end of summer beginning of fall. Females change to vibrant colors, males go to natural color. Males fight over females by raming horns and racing from cliff to cliff quickly, when two males get in abttle they'll ram horn but also clash bonegliders, this could result in breakage of the gliders. Egg are laid during winter and are warmed by the pair til they hatch near the end of winter, early spring, a female can lay 3-4 eggs in a nest at a time. Should a females eggs nt make it during the winter a female might kidnap another baby dragonlet to adopt, thus most females at this time are hostile til hatchings are a few weeks old. When born hatchlings do not have bone gliders and thus must remain nest bound til 2 months where they gain their first set of gliders, these gliders cannot go far and thus they only can glide around the nest. At 3 month they'll be able to fully glide alongside their parents, in 1 year alone theyll be full grown, and at a year and a half they'll be sexually mature.
Size: 8-9Ft
Wing Span: 12-15Ft
