okay, sO
the other night, i started doing some concept sketches of BB Billy (i think that's what people call him...?) and thus Pete the Pigeon was born.
I've sketched two story ideas, which only one makes any sense at all.

the first story takes place when billy was a human boy, and he and his family are at Fredbear's Family Diner (most likely taking place sometime during the 60's or 70's). he was upset about something (i had drawn that he dropped his ice cream - a kid would cry about that, right?) when pete, the animatronic balloon twister, notices he's crying and offers him a yellow and red balloon. this was the start of their friendship until (following my timeline theory) a child ends up missing. it possesses pete the pigeon into doing something awful, resulting in the death of 'Billy'. The restaurant owner feels terrible and designs an animatronic as a sort of tribute to Billy, only to have the restaurant purchased and renovated into something much larger. they came across the design concept and decided to put Pete to pasture and design Balloon Boy instead.
something along those lines.

the second story is similar, but not as dark.
Billy, nicknamed Balloon Boy, was a huge fan of Fredbear's Family Diner, as he grew up with it and its merchandise. he took an extreme liking towards Pete the Pigeon and would spend most of his time with Pete whenever his family ate there. Billy earned the nickname "Balloon Boy" by the owner. When the restaurant is purchased and renovated, Billy is much older and either:

chooses to have an animatronic designed after him as a sort of tribute to Pete, or
the store owner designs an animatronic after the boy, inspiring the design of BB.

information about this animatronic:
lightyears ahead of its time, apparently. lol
his "chest" compartment opens up to reveal two tanks of helium, which he uses to inflate balloons. they need to be replaced after a while, obviously.
functioned as a balloon twister, or the animatronic that inflated balloons and would distribute them to children, sometimes making balloon animals after the animatronics chica, bonnie, freddy, and foxy.
