Shokudai are blind and use all other senses to figure out their surroundings. Their hearing is above average because of their long thin ears. They live in Aokigahara, commonly known as Suicide Forest. They prefer quiet, spacious areas. Shokudai aren't typically vicious creatures. They are scavengers. They collect the belongings of the fallen victims, making a shrine and protecting the victims spirits.

This means 'water,' and it is pronounced 'Mizu.' It's very simple, yes, but water is something that is very important to any sailor or water-traveler, is it not? I imagine it to be written in navy blue, simply also because of the resemblance to water.
