Yay for releasing pallios at terribly late times (well it's only 10:00PM here but it's late in other places)

This design has been sitting since late September I think, you can tell by looking at how the lineart of this is done vs. newer pallios. It's less pen... pressure-y? I used the pen tool @ 2px rather than the pencil tool @ 6px that I've been using recently.

Anyways! This pallio is pretty average built, but what sticks out about them is that long tail of theirs. And also the oddly colored cape. This pallio has a spiky style two-toned cape. It begins cyan, but fades into red as you get to the end.

The two colored cape is an uncommon mutation. I've made a pallio with one before, but that was a long time ago (it's pallio #5). I've been meaning to make more two colored cape pallios, so expect more in the future.

Personality:
Darcy is a very shy and skittish Pallio. Loud people and strangers are a definitely a thing to try to keep at a minimum when he is around. When confronted by things that scare him, Darcy will hide himself and refuse to come out until he calms down. This usually takes a few hours. Though, it can be quickened if you offer him some honey,cakes.
It's unknown even to his loved ones why he is such a shy Pallio, but most believe that he was simply born that way and never really got over his shyness as he got older. Out of respect for Darcy's feelings -mainly because Darcy himself has never brought it up- his close friends never ask him why. The truth of the situation is simply that Darcy is a naturally introverted Pallio. There is no tragic backstory. Darcy was just born that way.
Despite being rather introverted, Darcy does love to cuddle. He will creep up onto the laps of those he trusts and enjoy having behind his ears scratched. To him, nothing is better than a few hours of affection and perhaps a nap on his loved one's lap.

Likes:
Being cuddled is Darcy's number one favorite thing. He loves the reassurance that he is accepted for the way he is and his loved ones return his feelings of affection.
Then, it would be honey cakes. He just likes how they taste and they are his favourite food. Plus, someone usually specially bakes them for him. This is probably the best way to win over this Pallio's love.
Fuzzy blankets are his third favourite thing. They make the perfect warm nest and can be burrowed under if the need arises.
Fires would be the next on his list. Falling asleep in front of the fireplace is a great way to stay warm and avoid the cold.
Fianlly, it's boxes. Set out a box in front of this Pallio, he is sure to squeeze inside of it, even if he doesn't completely fit.

Dislikes:
Being the shy and skittish Pallio he is, Darcy extremely dislikes strangers and loud noises. So, it's for the best that you don't let him see horror films. He dislikes them, but if you complain enough he will watch. You can do this to him if you want him to be hiding out for the next day or so.
Darcy is a total wimp when it comes to spicy food. So, he dislikes it and tries to avoid eating it.
He also dislikes the cold. During the winter, Darcy tries to avoid going outside as much as possible.

Hobbies:
Darcy's hobbies are rather mundane. He loves to make blanket forts and if you leave him alone long enough, they can get pretty intricate. He loves to have his good friends come in and hide in his forts with him.
Despite being a horrible cook, Darcy cooks on a regular basis. He hopes to become good enough at it so he can make honey cakes for himself and others.

Secret:
Darcy never comes forward and says that he is just a naturally shy guy even though he knows that his friends are rather curious about it.

What do other pallios/characters think of them?:
Cain, a larger Pallio, refuses to admit that he does enjoy spending time with Darcy. If Cain doesn't hear you walk in, you can catch him laying next to Darcy. Sometimes in the colder months, they will even cuddle up close to each other so they can stay warm.
Cain thinks of Darcy as a person that needs to be protected. He feels like the smaller Pallio needs someone to stand up for him - and he does.
