Yakut Lodge Challenge
Beginning to make these for/if people take part in the challenge so I am able to just assign them on the 1st of December; Go enter now! Below is the base information you will be given about the horse/dog you end up with, everything else is up to you!

Please do not post on this thread; Fanclub is also open but want to keep these clean encase the winner of this mare decides to use here as a 'journal' ^^

I signed up to participate in a Yakut Lodge challenge, something I was very excited for, although I do not deny how entirely nervous I was. I then had to figure out how I would get there, pack, find someone to take care of my current horse and start on my way. Not an easy feat, but I didn't want to miss out on the fantastic opportunity.

Sunday, December 7th, 2014
I have finally arrived at the Yakut Lodge, and one of the first things I did was meet my horse. There is no feeling to match that of meeting your new partner, would we click? or would I need to request for a new horse? I wasn't really set on winning, but I wanted to make sure that I could handle the horse to make the journey as safe as possible.
I got lucky with a four year old, dark bay mare who I proceeded to name Czarina, a russian name that means female ruler.
Although I am terrible at taking pictures, I will try my best.
Here is one of Czarina and my first meeting, the camera was set on a timer and placed on a fence post.
I learnt that she doesn't like carrots, so the package of carrots I got ended up going in my stomach and some other horses.



I got the chance to saddle her up and take her for a 'test ride'. It's hard to expect a horse to be perfect but she got real close. Afterwards I untacked her and let her go out with some of the other horses, she took no time in cantering out there. I managed to get a short clip which i'll be able to show in a bit.

I tack Czarina up, added the packs and we were off. While the start proves to be easy, I am nervous as to what will come.
