As for water tips, I suggest using 4 layers for this (But isn't required). Use one layer to make the water, but only in the color you want and lower the opacity just slightly. Add a new layer and use a light color to add some blurred highlights, I suggest just adding some dots where the light would be and using Box blur to blur it. cx Lower the opacity. Add another layer and draw some white lines for the ripples/waves. Finally, I would add another layer and put it under the water layer and use a dark color to make some shadows.

I'm not quite the expert, but hopefully this can be of use to you. ;;v;;
