|| hello everyone and welcome to mini mules adopts, please read the information found below ||
"what are mini mules?"
mini mules are the offspring of a male donkey, jack, and a female horse, mare.
horses and donkeys are different species, with different numbers of chromosomes.
of the two hybrids between these two species, a mule is easier to obtain than a hinny,
which is the product of a female donkey, jenny, and a male horse, stallion.
it has been claimed over time that mules are "more patient, sure-footed,
hardy and long-lived than horses, and they are considered less obstinate, faster,
and more intelligent than donkeys."
a female mule that has estrus cycles and thus, in theory, could carry a fetus,
is called a "molly" or "molly mule," though the term is sometimes used to refer to
female mules in general. pregnancy is rare, but can occasionally occur naturally
as well as through embryo transfer. one of several terms for a gelded mule is a "john mule."
mini mules range in sizes between 13 hands at the smallest, all the way up to 15.3 hands.
measurements by hands go; 13, 13.1, 13.2, 13.3, 14, 14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 15, 15.1, 15.2, and 15.3.
these are the only acceptable heights. they typically weigh between 200 and 270 pounds,
although this of course may range depending on the specific mini mule.
mini mules come in any coloration that a horse as well as donkey come in.
they can have any eye color, although some are rarer than others.
they at times even have brighter, somewhat unnatural coloration to them,
at least when compared to other equine species, but this is a unique quality of theirs.
they are commonly nicknamed "candy mules" due to this.
