Siberian Equine Guardians
- These equines are quite unique when seen in the wild. Siberian Guardians are two tailed equines that can reach as high as thirty hands and as small as eighteen hands. The males are equipped with five inch saber teeth that protrude from their mouths. These equines are known for their soft thick coat. From a distance, there coats seem like any other equine species but in a closer examination, it is rather thick. Their two tails are the same in length and connect at the base of their rumps. The tails help them with balance and also it acts as a blanket for young foals that are born into the harsh cold climate of Siberia. SEG's are located in the mountains of Siberia and have been there since the early years of Earth. They are known to guard the mountains from intruders, giving them the title of guardians. Due to the climate and terrain of the Siberian Mountains, SEGs are equipped with cloven hooves to help them travel over the steep sides and rocky terrain.
Most SEGs are quite aggressive and are never fully tamed. They are known for their wild and spirited nature, giving people quite a hard time attempting to train and work with them. They are best left alone in the wild. Males are usually more aggressive than the females and often fight like most wild horses do over mares and increasing their herds. Their herds never reach any larger than six mares along with one stallion. There diet is the same of that of a regular equine, meaning they are herbivores, though the stallions are known to eat small mammals occasionally. Siberian Equines begin to mature at the age of three and are fully matured by the age of six. In the wild, these equines can live up to sixteen years of age. Mares will usually have four to five foals in their lifetime, having a two year pregnancy with a fifty fifty chance of having twins, though one usually succumbs to the cold climate.
Coloration in this species can vary. They have the normal coat colors and markings as a horse does. Those these colors range in rarity. There are many common colors but there are a few that are either uncommon in the species or even rare. Rare traits are usually passed on if both parents have the traits or coat color. Very rare traits have a 25% chance of being passed down to foals regardless of if both parents display the trait.
Uncommon: Roans, flea bitten grays, blood bays, pure white, dapples.
Rare: Appaloosas, bird catcher spots. brindle.
Very Rare: Chimera.
