She is a hybrid of mainly two felines: Eurasian Lynx and Domestic Bengal. This is not a confirmed hybrid of feline, but I have gathered some information that lead me to believe it's at least a semi-realistic hybrid.
- "Two litters of confirmed hybrids between a female ocelot and male Bengal were born in 2007 and 2008."
"There are reports of bobcats breeding with domestic cats, but evidence of offspring remains circumstantial and anecdotal. Their interfertility is yet to be proven scientifically."
"The blynx or lynxcat is a hybrid of a bobcat (Lynx rufus) and one or other species of Lynx... Mitochondrial DNA studies showed them all to be the result of matings between female lynx and male bobcats... The female hybrid was fertile."
A Domestic Cat/Canada Lynx hybrid is listed under "Attempted or Unconfirmed Hybrids."
Since I was focusing on the two specific breeds of an Eurasian Lynx and a Domestic Cat for my character, I concluded with this information that, in theory, a hybrid between these two felids was possible, but to keep it more on the realistic side it must contain other breeds as well.
