✪ Tignix Adopts Genetics Guide Part 1- The 'C' gene ✪

This gene is responsible for coding for the different base coat colours.

✪ Alleles and Phenotypes ✪

There are three alleles in the 'C' gene that code for Tignix base colour:

'C'- this dominant allele codes for a brown coat, black skin and orange eyes (ranging from amber to deep copper to match coat). It is most prevalent in the Plains Tignix gene pool.
'C1'- this dominant allele codes for a grey coat, light pink skin and blue eyes (ranging from light blue to dark blue to match coat). It is most prevalent in the Mountain Tignix gene pool.
'c'- this recessive allele codes for a green coat, dark pink skin and yellow eyes (ranging from pastel yellow to deep gold to match coat). It is most prevalent in the Forest Tignix gene pool.
