This story takes place in another universe and does not affect this realm's Heaven-Hell relationship; Do not be offended if you are very religions, as this is in another dimension entirely with an entire different set of Gods and creation. This is not how I view angels and demons but a storyline made up of possibilities.

Before time and history, there was chaos, a seemingly never-ending war between Yin and Yang. All that occurred and all that was recorded was burnt in warfire and lost in the ceaseless bloodshed that existed before existence, nearly wiping out all life.
From the chaos and disorder rose two survivors, two enemies, that lived to create a single treaty, one that lasted for billions of years and marked the beginning of Time; it was the treaty that ended the Unknown War and bound Heaven and Hell alike as one, and that secured Yin and Yang, opposites together in harmony. Since the beginning of Time angels and demons worked in union, both Realms--including the Demons of hell--doing their part to ensure the well-being of middle Earth. The peace lasted for uncounted years; it is what began the start of recorded history. Until one angel, Halzakadon, came forth with a new perspective of Yin and Yang--one that had been proposed many times, but had always been disregarded and forgotten. He proposed that Yin and Yang was not opposites in harmony, but opposites in battle, and that that was how it was meant to be. He believed Heaven was never meant to make peace with the Underworld. War was the only, and the only right, answer to decide who would secure true dominance over all Realms.
Creatures had already suggested the idea in the past, but none had ever fallowed through with it like Halzakadon, who went onwards to cause much trouble. Eventually he was banished from Heaven and made into a Fallen Angel; down on Earth however, he continued his teachings on his views, and eventually turned on Heaven and joined the demonkind and his followers, creating the Ending Cult. the peace between angels and demons split, and war broke out: Earth being the battlefield. While the High Rulers of the angels and demons try to keep the peace, it seems that they can do nothing to control the rogue demons and fallen angels who fluidly begin to betray their kind and join in with the Cult.
Meanwhile, angels and demons had managed to keep the peace with their million year solution: While Angels controlled heaven and Demons controlled the under world, an angel and a demon (of opposite genders) could come together and fuse their powers to create an Archaemon, a creature of pure Yin and Yang essence placed with the duty of guiding lost souls (ghosts) into the correct after life world. Archaemons were, always, black and white only to represent that they were the combination of Yin and Yang; they had no color anywhere on their body, and had some sort of power resembling both angels and demons (ex: the power to heal and the power to destroy from 1 element). However, when Chaos and Denizen, 2 archaemons, were created with Red and Blue eyes, the angels took this as a symbolization that the Cult could use to hold against them to say that their peace-treaty wasn't working. They banished the two to Earth, stripping them of their rights and guardian duty as Archaemons.
Surviving for many years alone in the ruined battlefield of the planet, Chaos and Denizen along with the help of their old enemy High Archangel Eskreethius find out the true mysteries of the god that created them, and the true power behind Halzakadon's furious war-driving Cult that is ripping not only our world, but also the realms Above and Below to shreds.
