Kiamara's Name: Astra – Latin - Means “of the stars”

Kiamara's Gender: Female

Personality: Astra is a bit more quiet then some but she is not anti-social. She does admit that she has been called "the butterfly freak" but she try's not to let it frazzle her. Butterflies are her passion, and she would never lets words get by her that would make her not like butterflies anymore. Astra tends to not be very good at making friends is one problem. She loves having friends but she just... doesn't know how to. She loves having making friends with butterflies and she is very happy to make another "friend" of a butterfly but when it comes to saying "Hi" to someone she doesn't know she freezes. It frustrates her because she knows she can make friends with butterflies, so why not other kiamaras? Astra is generally a kind person but when it comes to people making fun of her because of her butterflies, or she sees others hurting butterflies then she gets angry and sometimes when she is angry she is scary! Many people say she has a gentle personality and this is true. She is gentle and caring with her butterflies and pretty much anything. Making kiamara friends will hopefully not always be her weakness, and hopefully her too quite nature will lighten up a bit.

Age: Astra is 19, and is training to be a true Lepidopterist (person who studies butterflies)

Her antlers: Her antlers are part of the reason the butterflies love her so much. On her antlers are pink flowers that bloom all seasons, and small speckles of moss. The flowers attract butterflies and it also makes the butterflies feel better. Why, you might ask? It's because butterflies are afraid of other animals and people but there is one way to earn a butterflies trust, and this secret is only known by Astra. She found from her studies on butterflies that if you give a butterfly a place to rest and something to eat or drink without being disturbed for about an hour they will be your friend forever. Thus, her antlers are the perfect spot for butterflies to become her friend.

Wait! She has one more thing she likes but no one really knows, come closer reader. *Looks around and then whispers in your ear* A lot of times... she stands in front of a mirror and lets her butterflies make beards and mustaches on her face while she makes funny expressions and faces! *Giggles and runs away*

Phobias:

Athazagoraphobia - fear of being forgotten or ignored. When she was younger it happened to much to her by her friends and family so know as a adult it scares her because of the feeling she got as a child.

Astraphobia - fear of thunder lightning. The loudness and the anger that seems to flow off of it.

Coulrophobia - fear of clowns. It might seem silly to some people but that face just scares the living daylights out of her.

Amaxophobia - fear of riding in cars. Astra has never liked cars, even when she was a baby. She would cry and scream the whole time as a child of she had to ride in a car. So now, since she lives by herself, she does not own a car. She owns a horse. As a child she started saving up to pay for the very expensive permit that allowed her to "drive" her horse on any public roads. With the help of her grandma she was able to pay the fee that would give her a permit.

Her pets:

Addy - Addy is a rare Southern White Admiral that Astra found one day when she was taking her butterflies that she is studying/keeping out for a run. When Astra had decided to take a break and lay on the grass she talked to a butterfly and then realized it was a Admiral. Since the Admiral's are rare and it was very far from it's home she decided to keep it.

Twilight - Twilight is a female pinto Frisian that Astra got on her birthday when she was 13. Twilight was just a foal at the time so Astra got to watch her grow. Twilight is Astra's riding horse, choosing to ride her instead of a car. Sometimes, when Astra finds the time she trains Twilight for horse shows, and twilight has even been successful and come in third, and second place many times. Astra hopes one day Twilight will be able to win a first place ribbon with Twilight.
