[The Last Raven]

Life seems like it's going to all be ok. And then something snaps inside and you don't know why. But suddenly there is just fear and pain and anger. The tears fall and they won't stop. Noises of the far off world surround you and all you can say is that you want to go home. But you are sitting on your porch steps. Aren't you home? But your heart still aches. And if your heart still aches then is this really home? Happiness is a fleeting fairytale that you get to hold on to for a moment and then it flies away like Peter Pan to Neverland. And you are left just where you are now. On your porch steps crying. Suddenly the feeling of being so very very alone come crashing in against you. Those feelings that you were able to avoid by pouring yourself into endless hours at work. But when it's over you can't escape those feelings again. They sweep you away into a choking river created by your own salty tears and then suddenly you feel trapped even though you should be free. Oh so so free. But you know you aren't. Because here you are. A reader in a land of fairytales where happy endings happen to the characters around you. But they never happen to you. The reader. And you want to go home.

This is beautiful. I especially like how real those tears look!
BTW, is this by any chance supposed to be Rose Tyler's face? It's just that it looks so much like her. That nose, the blond hair, her mouth...
