Name?
My given name is Battleship. I am known by friends and family as Bast.

Name meaning?
The reason for my given name, Battleship, is unknown, and shall remain that way. My parents took the secret of the reasoning behind my name to their grave.
My nickname, however, came from the Egyptian goddess of felines, Bastet, or Bast. Bastet was often depicted as a ferocious lioness or a calm domestic feline. Bastet is also featured in an Egyptian legend, in which she fought an evil serpent named Apep.

Gender?
I am, of course, a female.

History?
I lead a typical life. My younger sibling, known to you as Hallie, was born shortly before our parents died. Their death remains a mystery. I remember nothing from my early childhood, except a memory of wrestling with a golden male lion called Ra, who I assume was my brother. I have never seen him, though I have searched. I raised Hallie myself, teaching her to hunt and survive in the wild. After a few years, the forest caught fire and she fled. I followed, and we soon found ourselves in an empty clearing, where a lone lion approached us. He spun a tale of clans that lived nearby and lead Hallie and myself to such a clan, where we currently live, she as a healer, myself as a huntress. And what of the future? That is for destiny to decide.

Personality?
Though Hallie and I are siblings, we are polar opposites.
I like to consider myself to be level-headed and calm, although when aggravated I tend to do whatever it takes to defend my friends or family. I can be a bit vain at times, after all, I am named after a goddess, but I try to stay down to earth. I refuse to be used and will do anything to protect the emotions of myself or Hallie. I am not a social lioness and tend to hang back and avoid social situations, instead often finding myself hunting in the peacefully lonely confines of a forest. I am a swift and skilled hunter, blending in well with shadows, save for my few splashes of color. Because of my small build I am also agile, both physically and mentally. Hallie has called me a crafty fox many a time. I am secretly a bit of a hopeless romantic, although I have yet to find a mate and settle down.
