I thought I'd give making a species another go c:
So this little fella is a breed of canine but also bares similar to, well, a bear. Male or female is decided by the artists (obviously), as well as other artists tasks. But that's not the point.
These little guys always have something dragging behind them -- the rarity of the TAP (I am going to call them Tap's from now on ;v; <3) is decided by what is drags on the string tied to their tale; made even more valuable by other line edits, such as horns or wings or things of that nature. They often drag toys or objects, something from their past that they obtained at birth and is sort of like a guardian item. A less common thing to see toted by these dears would be another animal; perhaps a kitten or small other pup or, again, things of that nature. An extremely uncommon sight (probably making it rare) would be to see not only the Tap pulling along an animal, but then this animal dragging its own item -- though this extra train addition is never another animal.
They're gentle and fun loving animals, expressing many traits of both canine characteristics as well as ones a bear would possess. They're fairly small, often the size of a normal sized bear cub leaning into its teen years. I'm not sure if these will be the pup lines yet or if these will just be the final lines; I'm leaning towards the latter c:
I'm trying to thing of some other unique additions to this species, so suggestions are great.
