In a distant land, isolated on a chain of beautiful islands called Caork Isles is a species that calls themselves The Ahioko. These are a canine like species, which walks upright like us humans. In fact, they're almost exactly like humans aside their appearance and one little exception: there is no physical distinction between females and males. At birth an Ahioko is gender-less, being called "they, them" by their parents tell they're old enough to decide what gender they'd like to be. Some chose to stay gender-less, but others will chose whatever pronoun they like to describe themselves.
Ahioko's are a very intelligent and powerful species, though despite their strength they rarely use force for anything unless absolutely necessary.
This girl goes by female pronouns!
She's also our first Shaman, bearing a white mark on her right shoulder and she has slight mane edits.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Aya was born a no-mark. In her childhood, she always was a very agreeable and responsible child. She followed instructions and instead of doing mischief or seeking adventures like the other pups her age, Aya liked to make others happy. She often helped her parents with any work that needed to be done and was easily accepted by the older Ahiokos, because she was very intelligent and mature for her age. Aya always knew she didn't want to stay a no-mark, wanted to help others, but couldn't decide between medic and shaman. In her early teens however, her parents decided that they wanted another child. She was present when her little sibling chewed their way through the outer layer of it's fruit, and helped her parents raise them. After a while, she realised that she loved spending time with pups and that there was nothing more precious to her than kids, and combined with her urge to help and heal others that resulted in her deciding that she would be a shaman.xxx

xxxPersonality:
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Ayas most defining trait is most definitely compassion. She cares deeply
about everyone, to the extent that their happiness is more important to
her than her own, and is always aware of the emotions of everyone around
her. She loves preparing little gifts for her patients and playing with pups,
especially if it results in them smiling, or even better, laughing. Aya loves
the sound of laughing, it makes her happy more than anything else.
Also, Aya has a way with pups, she can handle even the most rambunctious
of them. Their parents actually often say that they are less annoying around
her, which is a direct result of the fact that the pups simply don't want to
disappoint her - she places her faith in them and in so doing encourages
them to do their best.
She does have a bit of a temper sometimes, and even though she is very
patient and lenient with the pups, she can be very strict if they really
messed up.Name:
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
When her parents, who were mated for life, picked her fruit, they soon
realized that she wasn't growing as fast as pups usually do. A week after
the time she should have chewn her way out, her parents began to get
nervous. They worried that she was ill, that there was something wrong
with her so she couldn't get out. The medics and shamans at the time
assured them that it happened sometimes, that some Ahioko need longer
than others to be ready, but they worried nonetheless. She was so tiny
after all, they couldn't help it.
12 days later, Ayasha was born. She wasn't unusually tiny anymore, but her
parents decided to name her Ayasha, which means "Little One", so she'd
always be aware of her unusual birth.
She prefers to be called Aya though, since many of her childhood friends
made fun of her for being named "Little One".Why all the piercings?:
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Over the years, Aya has developed a ritual of some kind. Every time she had the privilege to witness the birth of an Ahioko pup, she gets another piercing. For her, other than for most Ahiokos, the piercings are not a sign of wordly, but of mental and spiritual prosperity, as she believes that children are the treasure of their existence and the greatest gift to be given. She knows for which pup she got which piercing, and is still in contact with all of them. Since she's good friends with the parents of most of the pups and often spends time with them, they're calling her "aunt Aya".One thing she loves about the Tree of Life:
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
The thing she loves most about the Tree of Life is that it makes the birth of every new Ahioko possible. She'll never forget the look of complete, overflowing joy and happiness on the faces of not only the future parents, but of everyone who is there when a fruit is picked. She feels being invited to such an occasion means great honor. To her, that's the most precious of all the things the Tree of Life means to the Ahioko.
