Mudclaw looks up to the leader of RiverClan, her eyes staining the ground with tears. "Leader...I didn't kill those kits....I'd never do that..." LeopardStar looks down at the brown tabby, eyes only showing pity for the she-cat. "Yes, I know, but it would be rather safe for me to banish you out into the wild. I know this was your last Clan here in the forest, but I'm sorry Mudclaw, I can't risk you or anymore warriors."
The leopard-spotted leader looked over the camp. "Let all cats that can swim gather under the great rock for a Clan Meeting." She called out. Her warriors, queens, and elders slipped out with concerned whispers and glares at Mudclaw. The tabby she-cat shrank away and came closer to the stone, frightened, for she was harmed after that fateful day. "Now that everycat is here, I may begin," said LeopardStar, "This here is a banishment of a warrior accused of murdering two helpless kits while the mother was out of camp." Growls filled the camp, and a elder hissed loudly at Mudclaw. The leader of the clan looked down to the group of cats surrounding Mudclaw. "She has been proven that she was the murderer, for her claws match the claw marks on the kitten's backs and necks."
There was a roar of outrage from a musclar tom as he lunged at Mudclaw, fur puffed out and claws gleaming in the shadows of the falling sun. "You disgrace umong the Clans! No BloodClan cat should be welcomed here! Get out of our Clan, you filthy, flea-bitten, frog-dung you!" Wailed the crowd, their words stinging Mudclaw's heart. The tabby she-cat stood up and looked at the crowd of RiverClan cats. "I know I have said this many times over, but I am not the one you are looking for. I was going to dirtplace to make dirt, then I heard a wail from the nursery....and then..." She trailed off, tears falling down her face. The tom that lunged at her swatted her down onto her belly and started attacking the poor cat. Struggling out of his grasp, she raced out of the camp, a small group of warriors following her.
She ran and ran till she was far out of the Clan territory, and started to wander wherever, her eyes unfocused and confused. "Oh great StarClan...where are you now? I was stupid to even believe, but yet I still do..." The she-cat muttered, arriving after many days too a beautiful forest, and then sitting and watching the sun fall. "Looks so beautiful...maybe even better than ThunderClan's forest...." She curled up into a bush, then, exhausted, fell asleep then and there.
