Help?

Postby Tricey » Wed Jul 23, 2014 2:41 am

You know that feeling you get after reading an awesome book?
Like the feeling of elation and depression all at once?
Yes, I have that.
I would like to beg of my fellow CSians to comment with their favorite books.
Any genre works <3

I'll start -
My favorite book is "North and South" by Elizabeth Gaskell
ignore the picture, for I cannot draw people
- dA - Instagram -

Kim Namjoon is too pure for this world.
And by "too pure" I of course mean he is dirtier than the driven snow.

This is an awesome drawing! I'm so jealous of how you draw and shade people! ^W^ The hair is gorgeous! +w+

That being said, my favorite books are by far the Harry Potter series, but anything historical is a close second in my book. c:

~He Calls Me Sexy~ -
My brother just read that book not too long ago! Sadly however,
a few friends who saw the movie spoiled the ending. I'll check it out definitely though c:

Aww thank you <3 . I love the HP series too, and I've read them more times than I should admit to ;u;

not too long ago, i actually read this one book that was sad and quite amazing at the same time.
i had read this book in my english class as a book for summer reading. there is a series of three
it was sooo sad to read, an yet amazing. i'll give you all of them, but the first one..... i ended up
loving it and still talk about it to this day. it's based on a true thing that happened in his life.

A Child Called it by David Pelzer / the lost boy by David Pelzer / a man named Dave by David Pelzer

here's the link to his site. my mother had showed me this book. the first one. i cried while reading
it. it was defiantly a true one about humans feelings, and yet sad that this boy had to go through
with it. this book was so inspiring to me. there are more books coinciding to these three by him.
but these are the main three in the series. i have all of them. they are fanominal. i go back and
read them when i'm just wanting to quiet down and take some time to read. i had done a report on
them, and i was actually, at the end of this school year told to research an author who inspired you.
and i did one on him. [and for extra credit Oliver Bowen [a pseudo name] who is also an amazing
writer. he was the one who wrote the 5 assassin's creed series books that correspond to the games]

my english teacher said he'd want to go and read them, and i have yet to hear from him. but those
three books are something, if you want to read, i'd mind the language and take note of the abuse
given to him, which is all true. i'm not kidding. it is a sad book, but good in all. i actually based one of
my characters off him, his life, not everything about him. some of the abuse, but that he was helped
in the end. more like saved rather than helped.
anyways, i want to tell you everything about
that book, but i know it'll spoil it, so i wont. if you ever get a chance to read it. let me know how it
was and if you've got any questions about it.
