Tallis Wing's POV
I dream that night.
I'm walking down a street in the middle of the night. The village is completely quiet, and I'm the only one out. The lamp posts are lit and without them I wouldn't be able to see a thing. I look near one and there's an empty bench. I feel tired so I decide to sit down.
I then take the dark green bandana off of my forehead. The midnight air feels so peaceful.
I never want to wake up again.
I take a deep breath and close my eyes, but then I hear something. I look behind me to only see trees. As I'm turning back around, though, one of the Shadow monsters grabs me.
Then suddenly I'm underwater. The town and the monster is gone now. I can't hear a thing, but a slight yell, barely audible because of the position I'm in. I think it's a girl, frantically screaming my name. Is she in trouble?
'But it's so peaceful here.' I think. 'The water... It's so... Calm.'
"Gah!" I try to scream. I finally realize I'm out of breath. I reach my arms up. Hoping, waiting, and pleading for someone to come save me.
But there's no one.
I suddenly jerk awake. 'What was that all about?' I wonder.
I stand up. "Hm. Strange dream." I say quietly to myself. I look around to see everyone still sleeping. I then remember Lilly's ankle yesterday.
'I wonder how she's doing.' My mind then drifts to Thalia. 'We need to be more careful. Her healing people is good but... It tires her out.' I shake my head. 'We should stop relying on that so much. She needs her strength as much as we do.'
As I finished my thoughts Hestia turned over where she was sleeping, sat up, stretched and then yawned. I didn't notice last night but before she went to bed she must have put her hair in a high ponytail. She then took it out and her hair fell down past her shoulders. She then sighed and looked around to see if anyone else was awake.
Our eyes met. "Oh..." She had begun to say. "Morning, Tallis." She said coldly.
I laughed slightly. 'She leaves out the word 'good' in that saying. How cute.' I thought.
"So... How are you feeling?" I ask.
She doesn't even look me in the eye. "Fine." Is all she says, and then she walks right past me without another word.
I watch her in confusion. But then the thought comes to me. 'Is... Is she still mad about what I said?' I go back through the moment in my head, one more time:
"'Gosh Hestia! Learn to control those danged powers of yours before you kill all of us!'"
I frown at myself. 'Thats the worst thing I could have said.' I bend down and picked up my bandana, then tie it around my forehead. 'Is there any way I can make her happy again?' I then remember something I saw as we were walking. 'Maybe...'
I look back at the other two and notice they've woken up are talking to each other about this and that.
'I think it'll be fine if I leave for one day.' I put my shoes on and begin walking out the door.
"Tally!" Thalia yelled.
