he carries the Ticking gene so if his mate has ticking (Tt) then their offspring will either carry or express, ticking can never be 100% (TT) passed down and expressed because males cannot express and always carry the gene(tt) but mares who are foundation can have(TT) the ability to always pass it (Tt) to her daughters and (tt) to her sons
