The scale has two sides, destruction and creation. The side it's on doesn't necessarily mean that it's a good or bad element to have, only the wielder of the two most major elements will use the power for good or bad. The scale is just to sort them out. The other six elements are darkness, light, earth, wind, fire, and water.
