- It was in that moment, the stallion bidding the two beautiful mares goodbye, that Mew realized how badly she wanted Tidal to stay. She knew she was attracted to him, what with the way that she had leant into his touch earlier, but it was more than that – she needed him as much as she needed Nowi. She had found two wonderful friends and she wasn’t about to let them go. She could tell that he didn’t want to leave either.
“Tidal, wait”
The black mare had stopped prancing and now stood quietly before him, her silhouette stark against the warmth of the setting sun. Mew felt confident that Nowi would want to stay with Tidal, especially after all the fun they had had today – and Mew would feel safer tonight if there was a stallion around to protect them. What stallion could be better than Tidal? Thus, the young mare asks, eyes bright; “Could we spend the night with you?”
Or forever.
