Meet my gorgeous Chrysaora Basilisk, Otohime!
I have absolutely fallen in love with this species designed by of gators & feigns. It's so hard choosing just one design but I believe I have finally settled on a color scheme. To be perfectly honest I'm not sure I am totally finished with her design. I keep re-doing things, but I think right now I'm going to leave her design alone (at least for a little bit). Normally I'm more of a male character person, but I felt like these colors matched a female more than a male.
About the design: I chose these colors/design because I'm obsessed with jellyfish. Also, the reasoning behind the brightness of the colors is that beauty can be deceiving. If you read about the C. Basilisks you will see that they can be vicious. This girl is no exception and is actually extremely cunning and cold, verging on cruelty. The scars on her face were given to her by a Portuguese Man of War (which not actually a jellyfish but a lot like one).
Personality: WIP
Extra tidbits: Otohime is the name of the sea-queen in Japanese lore. This name was chosen because of a specific story about her and the involvement of a jellyfish. The story can be read here: http://www.mythfolklore.net/3043mythfol ... ges/21.htm
