This is Ariel and her younger sister, Gretchen, when they were still younger and Gretchen was still, well, alive..
No matter what was off and different with Gretchen, in this case that she was severely delusional, Ariel loved her to pieces and was always with her. The two were inseperable.
When Gretched passed away, Ariel was crushed and how she preformed in life suddenly darkened and dropped. She, at that point, hadn't cared about much of anything besides staying with her brother, Finn, who was also mournful over the loss of their sister -- just not in the same way it had broken Ariel. Aside from this, Finn needed Ariel, also, on some ways. Really, they just needed to stick together to pull through the thick. Ariel doesnt often think back to days with her younger sister, as when she does its not fondly. This isnt to say she doesnt cherish these memories, though.
Anywho, I just wanted to draw something meaningful, I suppose. I'm still not to good at giving it that old film look llD Ah, oh well~
