THE LOST RIDERS - #77

Postby AirAngel » Mon Apr 28, 2014 7:48 am

Unlike many adoptables, this species isn't a "quick adopt, get a whole bunch" kind. Each one is unique and special. Each has its own story, history, and future. You, as a potential owner, will not only adopt it, but actually own it.

Keep in mind--Tribesman and women wear armor or leather garments, not casual clothes like hoodies or jeans.
They also do not have very modern-like objects, like glasses, hats, etc

This pretty patchy dino is very reclusive. Can you get it to come out of its shell?

Is this the one for you? Are you up for its capture?

Extras and pretty forms are allowed and encouraged.

Short story about any time in this Bernikesaur's life: Cobalt was running as fast as he could get his legs to go! He gasped in another quick breath and knew he had to outrun huge predator that had decided he'd make a tasty dinner. But he was fast running out of both strength and energy to keep pumping his legs. His muscles were screaming at him, and his legs were turning to jelly but still he ran! He just had to reach the lake, that was as far as he had to run and then he could get his breath back. All he had to do was make it to the water.

He clawed and fought his way up the final rise and as he peaked the rim of the hill...there it was! The glorious rippling blue waters of safety, he just had to run a little further. The great bellowing roar behind him spurred him on, and the thunderous crashing through the trees was all the incentive he needed to make one last dash across the grassy waters edge and then he was falling into the safety of the waters cool embrace.

The large dino that had been chasing him was not as sure-footed in the water, it also couldn't see it's prey any longer, somehow it had blended in to the colour of the water, making it invisible to the bigger beast's bad eyesight. as it tried to wade out to deeper water where it thought Cobalt might be hiding it's great bulk tried to pull it under, where Cobalt was smaller and lighter and could paddle farther out. Seeing his "easy dinner" was not going to be quite so easy, the larger dino backed out of the water again and proceeded to stalk the edge of the lake for a short time, then it must have heard something else because it suddently turned and lumbered off through the forest again.

Cobalt heard it crashing away in the opposite direction and breathed a sigh of relief as he paddled slowly toward the shallow water on the other side of the lake. As soon as his claws squished in the mud he knew he was safe and quickly crawled out out of the mud and into the treeline, heading in the other direction from the big dino that thought he would be easy prey. More fool him, Cobalt thought, as he made his way back to the safety of his cave for the night.

Owner: GirlyG1
Name: Ferosha
Rider: Lyra
Tribe: Mat'iri
Short story about your rider first seeing this dino:

Lyra was walking in the forest. She found a clearing where she sat down on a stump. Suddenly she turned her head to the side and saw a pair of amber eyes staring at her. They looked kind and gentle, but filled with pain. She tried not to scream. She knew what she was looking at. She wondered why this gentle giant was in pain. The dino stepped into the clearing. Beautiful skin. White and blue. Then she saw why the gentle giant was in pain. A tree stuck in the dino's foot. Lyra saw it was but a small bush. She found a grass plant, which when eaten, has the power to send any living thing to sleep for a short period of time. The dino (who she named Ferosha) was hungry. She wraped a fish in the grass. Ferosha gingerly ate the fish. In a matter of minutes, she was asleep. Lyra shook the bush out of Fero's foot. She made an anti-bacterial paste, which was spread on fero's foot. Ferosha woke up and felt no pain. Ferosha licked Lyra on her cheek. From then on she has trained hard with Ferosha. And they are best friends.
