About Cævira Sabers
April 7th 2014
Cævira Sabers are a species, only recently discovered. For thousands of years they lived in the mountain ranges of Northern Canada, staying away from human civilization. Several weeks ago, a team of explorers went to map the uncharted areas of Northern Canada and came across a new type of animal that appears to be very distantly related to member of the family Caniæ. Their most distinct features include their large ears, and their tails, which have tufts of soft fur at the end and are held in a wave form, also, they have collars of thick fur on their chests and the back of their necks. The sabers are an incredible advanced species, and their IQ seems to be equal, if not greater than that of humans. A couple Sabers were taken into a laboratory to run a few harmless tests on their intelligence, and we are currently waiting for the results. Some of the scientists that traveled Mountain ranges to study these creatures, observed that they live in tribes and each Cævira appears to have a rank in their tribe. Many scientist believe that they can in fact, speak to each other, in a language they have developed over time. In Saber tribes, every tribe member helps raise their young, and the tribes can have up to 100 Sabers in them. The babies are carried on the backs of the female Sabers, and have spots on their pelts to help them camouflage. The spots star to fade, as well as their fangs start to grow in around adolescence. Pævira Sabers mate for life, and occasionally leave their tribes to look for a mate, but generally they mate with other Sabers inside of their tribe. It has been noted there is a birth defect within the species, called Non-growing Juvenile Syndrome (NJS), Sabers with NJS can never reach adulthood and will stay the same size and mentality as a child forever. NJS Sabers are generally of the lowest ranking of the tribe. Pævira Sabers eat mainly arctic hares, ground squirrels, voles, lemmings, wolverines, and when they are hunting in parties, muskox and caribou.
