They aren't bad dogs, Just terrible owners. My uncle had two (now one) And they were so sweet, other than they had a jumping up problem when someone came through the door and they were strong enough to knock us over.

I know. That's the sad thing too. Scenarios like these are terrible:
Idiot owns a pitbull
Idiot has a child
Idiot isn't responsible for child
Child pulls pitbulls tail again, whilst child is talking loudly
Idiot isn't there
Idiot comes into the room later
Child is bitten.

Maybe that was the 50th tail pull for that dog. And maybe that dog couldn't tolerate it. And so it got put down for kind of defending itself. Owner got no punishment for being irresponsible and mildly abusing the dog, but abuse is still abuse.

People cut pit bulls ears off and force them to fight, but pitbulls are the ones that are put down? A dog bites a person, the dog dies. A person kills a dog, no punishment???
