species concept

Postby Permasnow » Sat Mar 15, 2014 11:46 pm

A species I doodled up yesterday.
I saw it while staring at my bed (I really need to stop staring at random objects |D) for some reason.
Here's a little info on them:

- They have feathers along their back and on the tip of their tails
- They have snake-like tongues
- The horn on their head releases a sweet smell of honey (mostly to attract mates- the sweeter the smell, the more chance on attracting a mate)
- They drool honey (I have no clue where this came in)
- There are sharp thorns hidden in the feathers on their backs

...that's all I got.

Would anyone be interested if these were a species? If so, do you have any name suggestions?

    You could call them...
    >> Madus? A Madu sounds sort of cute...
    >> Melis? Meli is Greek for honey... or Melidracos..
    >> Miels? Spanish for honey...
