Now. I have a few things to say about his cutie mark:
I think that the ring will change the owner's cutie mark if it takes them. For instance, Frodo would keep his cutie mark until he reached the mountain. Then it would change to the ring.
So Gollum used to have a fishing cutie mark until the ring took him.

So yeah. That's the Smeagol pony. Hooves off. Wicked, tricksy, false! They will steal it, my precious!
