I would really love palette suggestions and critique on the lineart. I know I am not the best artist, but I'm trying!

I think that it is going well so far, but the two right legs seem to be missing... Are you going to make this as a character for yourself, or as an adoptable? If an adoptable, it seems a little too simple, but as a character, it is going well. Have a good day! (Or night!)

Thank you so much for your input! It's not totally completed - I'm still adding some fins to the tail, so I haven't drawn the right back leg yet until those are done. I'll make sure I don't forget to include it!

As for the front right leg, I'm thinking of making the character missing his front leg. I'm not 100% sure though.
