Taisers are an odd species first discovered in the ruins of a post-apocalyptic city on a dead planet during one of the first space expeditions. Taisers, or Tai, have very long, spindly looking legs. They have long tails about as long as the tip of their nose to their haunches, ending in a large poof of fur. The age of an adult Taiser can be usually be determined by their cheek fur, as it continues to grow their entire life. They communicate with soft 'pip' and 'bwiping' noises, and shrill squeaks when frightened. They are also slightly telepathic, able to let their feelings and rarely flashes of color or very blurred images seep into the minds of those in close vicinity.

○Merik doesn't like the feel of water, however he likes the look of it.
○He is a bit of a neat-freak and water simply ruins his perfect pelt; it makes it stick to his skin and darkens the colour of his brilliant pelt.
○He actually enjoys the taste of water- he is really into healthy living and usually drinks water and smoothies.
○He thinks the sound of water is rather relaxing, especially the sound of rain- he would hate to walk in the rain though!

The first time at the beach, Merik was a bit reluctant. He didn't want the sand in his fur, and he certainly didn't want any beach food such as ice cream getting in his fur! He took a blanket with him, choosing a spot in the shade so the sun wouldn't be harsh on his skin. He was amused by the way that children and adults alike played n the ocean, how could they? The salt water would matt up their fur and be such a pain to get out! He slowly relaxed into the beach atmosphere and found himself enoying the sounds of the waves that gently lapped at the white hot sand. Although he didn't partake in many usual beach activities, other than a tiny bit of sun bathing, reading a bit of his book and taking a nap, Merik rather enjoyed his first day at the beach.

Then she barreled over to the water and ran in circles. I joined her and we waded out to the deeper area. For the rest of the evening, we spashed and played.

How Do they feel about the water? Her favorite thing is water and it's actually very hard to keep her away from it. When she's in the water, she thinks more clearly and can make better decisions when her mind is clear.

( Bonus Points/Optional) Story of their first time at the beach: Her first day at the beach was when she was very young. Her parents had taken her as a surprise since they didn't really get to spend too much time with her. Her first feel of the sand was amazing to her and she positively loved the heat radiating from it. But when she saw the water for the first time? She was a bit scared. Her parents encouraged her and even walked with her towards it, even with every little step it took and as slowly as she walked. When her feet first touched the water, she was surprised by how cold it was compared to the sand that it hit. Not long after she loved the water, her parents couldn't help but smile as she ran through the water with so much glee in her eyes and smile.

Leith loves nothing more than sitting by a stream and closing his eyes.
The sound alone is enough to calm him, though the coolness and fresh scent doesn't hurt
either. For his love of water, he's not as strong a swimmer as you'd think-- which is a
large part of why he prefers streams over creeks, lakes, or oceans. On the other hand, as
long as he's not actually in the water, it doesn't much matter to him how large the
source is (though brooks tend to sound the nicest, in his opinion).

≈Story of their first time at the beach:≈
He's only ever visited an ocean beach once, and he doesn't really plan
on doing so again soon. Most of the time was spent trying to get sand off his fur and
avoiding overpopulated areas. The first time he visited any beach, though, was when
he was rather young. It was a small lake not far from where he lived, and it had a few
smaller tributaries that he frequented later on. He'd never seen more than a puddle of
water before, and was mostly really confused about how the water got there in the first
place. His curiosity piqued, Leith found himself visiting the lake more and more often,
until he finally found his precious streams.

How Do they feel about the water? Rain loves the water. She loves the feeling of waves beneath her, and the coolness of the water. She doesn't know how she can live without water. She especially loves the beach. She loves the feeling of sand between her toes, and the waves going in and out. She loves the cries of the gulls, and in order to be closer to water, she lives near the beach.

Story of their first time at the beach: When Rain was only two human passes, she went to the beach. Her parents where out foraging, so she had lots of spare time. She ran right up to the waves, unafraid of the cold liquid. The next thing she knew, she was going under! She cried out softly, and struggled to get out. She pulled herself out in seconds. She stared at her sand caked feet, and started giggling at her silliness. The other people didn't cry when their feet went in! So why should she? She went home, hours later, all messy and dirty, but very happy, after her first time at the beach.

How do they feel about the water?:
This Taiser, absolutely hates water. The feel, touch and texture just makes her throw up. She s greatly facinated by the colour, but swimming in it? No way. Damilia has the ability to walk on water, thanks to her long thin legs she can balance on the microskopic layer above water line. But she must be 100% concentrated to be able to do that.

Story of their first time at the beach:
The beach is one of the places that relaxes her, but makes her anxious all the same. The sand, such small little speck of dust, yet so much fun. You can build castles! And dig in it for hours and it never ends! When Damilia first went to the beach, it was when she was trying to escape some hunters that just found out about their species' existance. Even the strict rules about not harrasing the newly found animals, hunters just couldn't resist the urge to kill the innocent. She ran into it by complete accident. Se hid in the sand and waited for them to leave. After that day, Damilia visited the beach every so often just for safety; and even sometimes for a little snack of a crab or so. Being highly aware of the water, she stays well away from it.
