Mossy Critters is the unofficial name of a species that seems to be a combination of a cat and a small monkey. Scientists haven't picked an official name, as this species was only discovered recently deep in the jungle. Critters have moss and small mushrooms sprouting from their backs. It is unknown whether these plants have a purpose, but no adult Critter has been seen without them. A nocturnal omnivore species, Critters behave like cats and have excellent senses. They will eat anything from plant and berries to large insects and small birds and rodents. Although they are wild animals and need special care, they can make loving and energetic pets.

Personality: Loyal and trustworthy, Lizzy is eager to please everyone she comes across. She loves other animals, particularly lizards (They're adorable in her opinion), meaning she tries her best to eat different insects. Although willing to lie to get what she wants, she tries to tell the truth as often as possible.

She dislikes the idea of being kept as a pet, being naturally wild, though she seldom voices any of her opinions for fear of offending someone. She tends to keep her feelings bottled up inside her, and when she gets angry, she'll probably be cursing and shouting in her mind, yet smiling sweetly on the outside. She is friendly, though, and will talk - or meow - to anyone who wants to listen. She knows how to take a hint, however, and will leave whenever she is not wanted.

Extra: (Short story)
A figure darted around the forest, watching a light blue parakeet sit on a branch of a tree as it sang its beautiful song. Lizzy dug her claws into the trunk, climbing up the tree step by step. In minutes she had reached the branch, and was stealthily observing the blue bird. Yes, looks tasty. It was plump, in fact, more than most she had eaten before. Finally she pounced, baring her sharp razor-like fangs and hoping that this time she would succeed.

She held down the bird as best as she could, but in a mess of feathers and flapping, it had flown away. "Oops." Sighing, she grabbed a nearby fruit. Why didn't she have some kind of weapon or something? She should have... "Oh right. Fangs." Muttering curses to herself, she watched as the creature soared off.

Extra: This is a paragraph of a close call with a giant moth!

Mosh walked through the branches of a tall jungle tree blending in with the moss she grabbed a praying mantis and gobbled it up then continued happily licking her lips to catch the remaining sweet juices of the bug; what a day! Not a single thing could happen to her to make her sad now! EXEPT from the silent but deadly giant moth swooping down from the shadows above it swung down coming for a tasty treat when Mosh looked up and ran starting the chase then when she got close to a lump of moss she lay down blending in until the moth left "phew that was close" she sighed still lying down "I might take a rest..." She closed her eyes drifting into deep sleep...

that was fun although I did get writers block in the middle of writing it...oh well it's done now! Hope I get her!
