This board has been so popular that we've had to make another board for avatars already!

We've made a new Editable Avatars board so if you want everyone to color in your avatar you can post over there! It'll work just like the regular editable oekaki forum, but for Avatar sized canvases :)

If you only want certain friends to be able to color your avatar then you can leave it in this board, and just add editing permissions for those people.

Vintage Pixel Avatar Color-In

Postby reilly » Thu Feb 06, 2014 2:25 pm

Nobody told me pixel-art was so complicated!
I might re-do this later because I have no idea how to make pixels. So yeah.
I tried to make her bow, but as I mentioned, I couldn't figure out how to draw the lines. If anybody has like, instructions or something on how to make pixel art I wold love for you to share!

I love my new baby so much that I at least tried.

X3 pixels aren't really hard
there's a "pixel" brush setting to make lines pixely
it's at the top of the box with the brush size, it should say "round hard edge" so click it and change it to "round pixelated"
hope that helped c:

Hah, thanks!
I used the pixelated brush, but I think the way I was using smoothing or something might have been messing it up?
Anyways I'm going to try it a different way.
I'll try to draw the bow now on this version. And if I can make it work I'll probably delete this and make a new version.
Thanks for the advice!
